I want to go to Magnolia Mountain!
And lay my weary head down, Steady my soul and ease my worry... starting a review with an abbreviated song quote may be unimaginative, but the lyrics seem fitting for the fragrance. A restrained, calm and unfortunately also fleeting aquatic-citrus fragrance that awakens hard vacation vibes in me! A positive surprise!

Pacific Drive is the opposite of a top note blender: we start with (too) much lemon and acidity, not so nice, but cools down quickly and makes room for the main actor, sage. This is joined by another scent that I would classify as magnolia, even if I am perhaps being misled by the marketing. In any case, the heart note of the fragrance is great! It smells like freedom, a drive in a convertible on an avenue of blossoming trees into the deep pink sunset. A breeze of warm, salty sea air blows over from the nearby sea. The fragrance has a woody base with light musk.

A citrusy summer fragrance that is suitable for everyday use, not pungent, but rather for men with a certain depth. We are a long way from the so-called "shower gel freshness" here. Pacific Drive shares with Pacific Rock Moss the distinctly salty note, the "Pacific" in the name, the expandable performance and the fact that it smells so good to me that I can forgive its performance! Despite all these similarities, however, the fragrances are not really similar.

For me, the most beautiful fragrance from the Citrus Sommelier Collection by Birkholz. If you don't like citrus fragrances in general, you probably won't be satisfied here either. I like it!

I want sea!
First of all - I am happy to be allowed to make the first comment on this fragrance. However, I ask at the same time for indulgence, since it is my first comment on Parfumo.

Pacific Drive - the name alone already evokes associations with the summers on the American West Coast, probably California in particular. However, the name was not the reason for my purchase.
I had the Mandarino di Amalfi of TF sprayed on a test strip, as well as on the wrist. However, the durability of the fragrance had disappointed me very much, so I inquired in a perfumery for alternatives that have a similar fragrance DNA. I was particularly interested in fragrances with orange, which I found particularly beautifully implemented in the Mandarino di Amalfi. The saleswoman gave me some samples and test strips, among which was Pacific Drive. I was thrilled from the first moment and had it sprayed on my skin two or three days later as well. Then I knew, this fragrance is what the name promises.

At the beginning, the fragrance impresses with its clearly perceptible, well interacting mixture of lemon and orange, accompanied by a wonderfully salty note. Lemon and orange step with the time something in the background, without disappearing completely. The aforementioned salty, balsamic note lingers from the moment you spray it on to the end and provides what I think is the really special touch to this perfume. It especially provides the associations this perfume evokes - ocean. Pacific Drive smells like sea air and immediately evokes wanderlust in me, get in the car and drive along the coast on a hot summer day, no matter where! Or just relax amongst the dunes and watch the sunset. Admittedly, in my head it's not California, as I unfortunately never had the pleasure to travel there - for me it's rather the North Sea. And with you?

To my regret, I can not assign this salty balsamic note, certainly cedar and sage are partly responsible for it, but certainly not in this intensity. Possibly it is the green leaves, I can answer this but not, because I do not know how this Duftkompenente smells in detail.

Overall, it can be said that Pacific Drive is a very successful, fresh/aquatic fragrance, which is suitable for particularly hot summer and spring days. Its durability is certainly not outstanding, but for a fresh fragrance quite considerable and superior to the TF Mandarino di Amalfi. The reproduction is also good for a freshie, nothing more and nothing less. Definitely a recommendation for all who are looking for a summer fragrance :)

I am curious what the Berlin perfume manufacturer Birkholz will surprise in the future - I certainly want sea!
