Not worth the time or the money, solely due to the poor performance. Nothing from this house seems to last on my skin for more than 2 hrs.

Got my sample yesterday, and as expected, the performance is total garbage, somehow worse than the PC. Lasted 45 mins before disappearing.

Fresh and spicy, with green lime, a pleasant and tart rhubarb, chlorinated water from the pool and galbanum. Good but nothing special.

Huge overlap w/ Elysium PC, base has a unique bitter/mildly green rhubarb note for ~1h until it's Elysium PC again. Same trash performance.

Nice fruity (Rhubarb) opening with OG DNA in the background. Longevity is bad otherwise would have been a great summer scent.

Ignore the Hate - Wonderful Elysium twist with distinct rhubarb and calone. Holiday feeling in a 5 star resort. Sporty & luxurious.

The King is back

I heard everybody saying it has nothing to do with elysium. I disagree.

Upon first spray you can immediatly recognize the elysium adn but with rhubarb which quickly fades into a wonderful grapefruit note, and some fruity nuances amped up.

After 20 minutes becomes a bit more floral, but it always keeps the elysium core. I can definitely tell that it’s an Elysium flanker, not a stand alone one.

I think this is lovely, probably superflous if you already own Elysium, but if i had to buy a bottle i wouldn’t know which one of the 2, cause they’re similar but with its own nuances.

In any case, gorgeous, as expected, with very great performance as the Parfum Cologne.

The worst of the worst!

Elysium eau intense starts with a big explosion of a soapy detergent smell. First i thought it was the bergamot, but it is actually white musk. Very synthetic and very strong. It is there to stay as long as the fragrance lives on! It burned my nose, wet my eyes.

You get some hints of floral, aromatic and woody accords but none of them will triumph over the white musk. You see a complex notes pyramid but you barely get ghosts of the notes. Rhubarb tries to make itself shown but that detergent smell blocks it. I can dig a nice juniper accord but it is covered by that musk note.

This has been the worst experience of my infatuation with fragrances for the last 25 years.

Summer classic

Roja Dove Elysium Intense is a soft and deep aromatic fougere. Although it has a classic fougere structure, it smells quite modern/different to me.

It's a well blended complex perfume where I find it difficult to isolate notes. Overall it is a green, clean, musky, floral, woody and leathery scent with a tart rhubarb note that makes it quite different and not off-putting to me.

It has a decent longevity compared to Elysium, 6-8 hours depending on the amount applied, but far from "intense" IMHO.

Yes, it's overpriced, but it's pleasant and distinctive.

My worst experience of the house...!

Hello everyone,

today I would like to address relatively few and honest words to you and it is about the Elysium Eau Intense ...

Roja is one of the houses that have been with me for a very, very long time, but from a safe distance.

Why?

On the one hand, the sometimes absurd price of individual products (the perfumes) are well..., I don't like to talk about certain prices because I think to myself - either you can afford it or you can't, but their relationship in terms of price - performance is not unimportant to me and that is really very difficult with some. That's one of the reasons why I've stayed away from the house so far.

However, a few months ago I grabbed a "batch" of fragrances to try out and I would like to share these thoughts with you (so there are a few more to come...).

Yes, I already know the Elysium Parfum Cologne Eau de Parfum and the Elysium pour Homme Parfum from previous tests and in 2023 came the flanker - the Elysium Eau Intense. I don't want to make a big fuss and I know (!) there are insanely big FANS of the house and this is partly justified, but the Elysium Eau Intense is nothing and not even close!
And yes, it is fresh, citrusy, slightly fruity, soft (the first 25 minutes), but everything that comes after that is difficult. I've heard things like cleaner, swimming pool, chlorine, changing rooms etc... - BUT it's not even close to being something special or something you have to have and when I see the price tag, there's a real fine line between a certain boldness and a certain madness for me!

Why such drastic words!

For 2 reasons.

Firstly, many designers do it noticeably better. More beautiful progression (development) and secondly (just as honestly) the performance is a real laughing stock. When a €15 drugstore fragrance (if it's even that expensive) like Tabac Man Eau de Toilette or a Zino Eau de Toilette or a The Dreamer Eau de Toilette performs far better than this prestigious house.... phew!

How does it go down?

Beautiful fresh rhubarb

This fragrance is much better than its ratings here. You just have to know what you can and cannot expect from it. This fragrance is no rhubarb pie, no vanilla rhubarb feast, nor does it reinvent the Roja DNA. This fragrance is a fresh, masculine citrus-rharbarber-wood scent that is beautifully clear and uncluttered, offering exactly what freshies offer. It is not hyper-complex, but as Elysium, that was never its claim. It smells like a fresh day in April or May. No more, but also no less. In any case, I think it's a real success.
