Shawq Swiss Arabian

Un parfum très linéaire, comme la majorité des fragrances de la même collection (Raaqi, Imperial, Kenzy…). Ce n’est pas un défaut en soi, tout dépend des préférences. Personnellement, j’aime les parfums linéaires qui ne se métamorphosent pas au fil du temps.

Je le décrirais comme un ananas des Caraïbes caramélisé, plongé dans un bain de musc et d'ambre. L’ananas n’apporte pas une facette fruitée excessive comme dans Shaghaf Men ou black XS par exemple, mais plutôt une note fumée, sombre et profonde. Il ne faut pas s’attendre à une évolution marquée au fil de la journée : le parfum reste fidèle à son ADN du début à la fin. Ainsi, ne cherchez surtout pas à trouver un Aventus ou un Qaeed al Fursan dans
Idéale pour le bureau et pour les sorties casual. Je le porte en été comme en hiver.

Ce que j’apprécie particulièrement chez Swiss Arabian, c’est leur capacité à proposer des parfums à prix très abordables sans donner cette impression de « bas de gamme » : pas de notes agressivement synthétiques qui fatiguent le nez ou donnent mal à la tête.

Shawq has a resemblance to Creed, but it is not a dupe.
For me, it is even better than Creed because Shawq contains much, much more pineapple.
For pineapple lovers, this is the perfect summer fragrance.
A perfect mix of fruity, sweet, and fresh.
You can also perceive a bit of bergamot, but the blackcurrant and pineapple are the stars here.
I still have the 2020 version; the sillage and projection of this fragrance are already very nice.
In the first months, it was rather weak, but over time the fragrance became stronger.
It is strangely the case with many Arabic fragrances that when you store them longer, they suddenly become stronger.

I once again let myself be guided into a blind purchase.

This scent is unfortunately often described as "too sweet" or "too synthetic."

I don't think so.

Yes, it is sweet, and if you smell it too closely, a slight synthetic note emerges.
When it is in the air, it smells the best.

But what does it smell like?

If I may describe it visually, it smells like a fresh sweet pineapple cut open on a stainless steel table.

It has a very pleasant fruity scent with a slight metallic and minimal smoky undertone.
It has 100% the pineapple note of Aventus. It doesn't need to be particularly masculine like Aventus.

I find it distinctive, fresh, sweet, and versatile.
It lasts easily 7 hours and projects strongly in the first 5 hours.

It is less unisex and more masculine than I expected.
A concern that fortunately did not come true.

I bought this fragrance blind, €21 for 100ml. Right off the bat, it was definitely worth it.
The bottle is nice, nothing special but good enough (it looks different now, I uploaded a photo)

When you spray it, you immediately get the feeling of a very dense, partly very sweet/sour pineapple, to me it smells authentically like that (it practically makes your mouth water). And it doesn't change much as it develops. It's a pleasant sweet freshie, with very good longevity; if you like pineapple as a scent, I can highly recommend it. You shouldn't expect a Roja, it smells synthetically fresh, modern with ambroxan and pineapple.

It becomes woodier, but always remains pleasantly sweet; the late drydown reminds me a lot of Hacivat's drydown, but it doesn't have much in common with Aventus, which is a good thing.

I think it's a very nice perfume for warmer days, but I could only test it in winter so far.. :) and even in winter, the longevity was very good for such a fragrance. I have no regrets about the purchase and will definitely finish the bottle.
