Very helpful Review 10
Another good scent (-clone) from the house for a modest price / + personal opinion!
Hello everyone,

how do I start this review = Good question ...!

Preface:

We are talking about a house that somehow feels like it only clones scents!
Do I think this is good?
NO!

Do I find it reprehensible?
Not really!

Why?

Personal opinion on this!

Creating a scent, bottling it, designing flacons (etc.) often costs in the hundreds of thousands (roughly) of euros. I’ll call it resources x; if I had those resources to create a scent, I would use them to design something new, + something different that hasn’t been combined in the best possible way yet..., but nowadays, all companies (99% of them) always think that a scent must generate maximum success and revenue. I feel there's a bit of a lack of courage to take risks...

At the end of the day, that’s also completely right/economic, and cloning "successful" scents for a fraction of the money...., it’s an approach, but certainly not one I would choose, but that’s a personal perspective...
_____________

About the scent:

It goes 98% in the direction of "Oud for Greatness | Initio" and Haltane. Woody, spicy, oriental, slightly green, a bit of lavender, and a soft fluffy drydown are what we have here.

An amateur will hardly ever (!) notice the difference from the expensive counterpart, and that alone is really shocking and shows how good those clone houses have become in some cases.

Of course, trained noses will notice a certain difference, and dismissing this is nonsense in my opinion. So if someone is looking for this, wants it, and needs it, go for it!

When sprayed discreetly, it is very well received!

Its biggest plus point is its price!
Because it costs around 150€ less
than "Oud for Greatness | Initio" or Haltane ...
with a similar performance, and somehow that’s almost frightening...

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Since I discovered Shaghaf Oud Royale online, I have been circling around it and checking from time to time if it was finally available to order from Germany. Now the time had finally come, and it arrived quickly. Then the first spray, I smelled it and 'oh no, I know this scent'.
In the opening, it smells exactly like "Bade'e Al Oud - Oud for Glory | Lattafa / لطافة".
I immediately tested both side by side and must say that Shaghaf Oud Royale is a bit softer and rounder from the start. That squeaky sweetness that I know and love from Oud for Glory is weaker and quickly tones down in the Royale. Here, the lavender comes through more, and the saffron remains somewhat in the background.
After that, it becomes a very nice and everyday wearable scent, so I no longer have to circle around it. ️

In front of the zoo's...
... koalas that are just getting their food, the eucalyptus leaves scent wafts over to the zoo visitors. These little bears are not deterred and enjoy munching on these leaves.

Upon applying this perfume, a note of eucalyptus hits the nose even though it is not listed in the fragrance pyramid. Gradually, a green grassy note emerges from behind, which I suspect comes from the oud. Floral and spicy accords gradually join in. After a while, this scent becomes creamy and darkens slightly.

The longevity and sillage are very good.

This unisex fragrance is well-suited for both the office, leisure time, or even in the evening. This scent can also be worn by slightly younger individuals.

Those who enjoy a fragrance with an eucalyptus note will feel right at home here.

Oud Monster at a Low Price!
This is one of those fragrances that leaves no doubt from the very first spray: It hits you right in the face. The combination of oriental, woody, and spicy notes unfolds a powerful presence that doesn't dissipate quickly.

The top note of saffron and lavender creates an exciting contrast. The saffron brings a slightly bitter spiciness, while the lavender adds a touch of freshness that gives the fragrance some air - just enough so that it doesn't feel overwhelming.

In the heart, the oud takes control - and it does so with full force. The oud comes across very medicinal, and accompanied by strong nutmeg, it becomes smoky and spicy, almost edgy. Here, the dark, unrefined side of the fragrance reveals itself, making it very distinctive.

The base of musk and patchouli rounds it all off without bringing too much warmth or sweetness into play. Instead, the fragrance remains dry, powerful, and with a slight sharpness that makes it quite intense.

Beware, this is not a cozy cuddle fragrance - it’s more of a statement. Those who have a penchant for powerful, spicy, and dry creations that don’t drown in sweet mixtures will surely find joy here. This one leaves an impression - not through pleasantries, but through character.

Royal Appearance - The Fragrance That Leaves an Impression....
The scent has addictive potential and deserves to carry Royal in its name. Subtle? Not at all! When you enter the room with this, you are the main character.

An olfactory tuxedo within the Shaghaf Oud range.
It opens with spicy saffron and slightly sweet amber. Warm, intense, and quite impressive at the same time. Then comes the oud.... dark, velvety but truly majestic.... Royal indeed. An Oriental gentleman with a golden pocket watch.

A statement fragrance! Epic longevity and top-notch sillage.

In my opinion, suitable for dates, special occasions, and evenings where you want to be the main character.

OfG/Haltane Alternative.
Oriental, subtly sweet, woody, spicy, with a very pleasant "oud" note.
Also similar to Oud for Glory.

Saffron-infused lavender woods create a punchy, earthy nutmeg-pepper spice. Long-lasting Oriental pleasure with bite and strength.

It's quite similar to "Oud for Greatness | Initio". If you like that: great! Unfortunately, it's not for me. So we won't be friends. H/S is great!

So far, the most uninteresting SA for me. Smells like a typical men's fragrance with a few spicy notes. H/S is top as always!

I find it a bit better than Oud for Glory by Lattafa. Shaghaf Oud Royale doesn't smell as dry, but rather a bit greener and juicier.

Good Oud for Greatness clone. Better than Oud for Glory. Oud for Glory was softer, powdery... Swiss Arabian hits hard like Gebauer fragrances.

Color fits: for me, a very aromatic warm-sweet eucalyptus scent even though it's not listed. Oud and patchouli beautifully balanced in the background.

One of the best oud scents in terms of value for money. It has great sillage. In the top notes, it's slightly spicy and then consistently woody-smoky.
