Shaghaf for Men Swiss Arabian

Wow, just wow! Bought blindly. Paid about 13.5$ for 75 ml bottle. What a wonderful perfume! Indeed it smells almost identical with PR Black XS for men, only in the late drydown they are a little bit different. Smells more expensive than its price. A little bit sweeter, but still acceptable even for a grizzled man like me, who usually don't like sweet perfumes.
Performances are very good, with heavy sillage in first two hours, then calms down gradually and projects good for 1-2 hours more. Longevity is very good, more than 6-7 hours, with an expected decreasing projection. On clothes it smells more than 24 hours.

What a wonderful perfume! it smells similar to PR Black XS for men, but in the end they are a little different. A little sweeter than Black XS, but still acceptable even for a grizzled man like me, who doesn't generally like sweet scents. It smells more expensive than its price (pay about €20 for 75ml). Definite crowd pleaser, you'll smell like an ice cream van parked beside the beach - this one is being slept on for sure.

“Shaghaf Men” is a fruity Arabic spring fragrance close to gourmand status. Somewhere between “Black XS” and “Aventus.” And unlike what one might expect from this olfactory as well as geographical region, it is not a bombshell like its “predecessors,” but rather positively calm and balanced. Especially after the initial hit.

In the vast majority of cases with Arabic “pendants” to Western bestsellers, the respective scents are made significantly more potent, powerful, and intense. Cheaper, of course, as well. The latter also applies to “Shaghaf Men.” However, surprisingly, the former does not on my skin. Quite the opposite. While “Black XS” can come across as very youthful and somewhat intrusive to older noses, “Shaghaf Men” is clearly the more wearable and everyday alternative. No longer just for clubs and shisha bars. More like a futuristic lavender sweetheart with quickly drying synthetic facets. Very fruity, very moist, very bright, very refined. Whether one identifies it as pineapple or strawberry plays a rather minor role. For me, it’s a kind of “Light Black XS” - and therefore infinitely more accessible and elegant. Not a timeless masterpiece. Certainly not. But one that is always welcome on my skin.

Bottle: the “Arabs” always seem a bit unrefined, cheap, and clumsy here.
Sillage: very sweet, but not overly strong. Good.
Longevity: 7-9 hours - oriental cut.

Conclusion: a transparent-synthetic praline full of fruit and (initially) impact. Strongly reminiscent of the Paco Rabanne hit. Becomes increasingly subtle and beautiful over time.

When I open the bottle and apply it, I smell a very strong pineapple. Yes, I know there's no pineapple listed in the fragrance pyramid.

I perceive a freshness from the citrus note that hides right behind the pineapple and peeks around the corner. What is just as noticeable is the sweetness. I can only speak for myself; on my skin, the scent simply remains a pineapple that lasts about 10 hours and is also noticeable to those around me.

I personally find this scent simply amazing and enjoy wearing it all year round.

The price-performance ratio is excellent.

For those who enjoy sweet fruity (for me, pineapple) scents, this one is just right and highly recommended.
