Are you real or just pretending?
Ah, my dears, one can never have enough fragrances. My friends and family already know me as an absolute scent freak, which means that as a souvenir from vacation, I always receive bottles and little flacons from all over, well, half the world. But preferably not "just-so duty-free scents" that you quickly grab-oh, there's still a gift missing! But something from the local shops, perfumeries, or even from the market-there are also pretty treasures to be found.
Of course, it can happen that you get a fake. I am fully aware of this risk. Or that the scent quickly deteriorates due to being stored incorrectly for too long. Or that I simply don't like it. People usually know my preferences, but skin chemistry is a tricky thing.
Now to Mehrab. I couldn't find out what this word means. It probably comes from Arabic or Persian and is a male first name. However, the scent is definitely for women. Well, maybe someone can unravel the mystery after all.
The bottle is a gem! Absolutely perfect for the scent. The character of the fragrance-it is a perfume oil, and there is a glass stick attached to the cap for application. It has a somewhat pharmaceutical-medical vibe. But it wouldn't work any other way. It is incredibly concentrated and needs to be applied to the skin and hair.
At first, I smell rose. There must be rose oil in it. Then something spicy comes-no, rather something seasoned. Saffron, ginger, or both. After a few hours, it becomes woody-smoky on me, without the rose disappearing! Damn interesting.
I feel like I'm taking a stroll through an oriental market, as some might know from vacation and I only know from movies. The rows of fruits and spices, right next to a stand with leather goods, where the seller is currently smoking a cigar traded from someone. Thousands of scents mingle in the air and in my nose, and strangely enough, the mixture is really beautiful. It accompanies me all day without becoming overwhelming. When it’s cooler, it becomes a bit more austere, while in warmth, the rose comes more to the forefront.
I don't know if this little treasure is real or just pretending. I like it, and my sweetheart also liked it right away. It's like a good-night fairy tale from 1001 Nights in mini format for personal use.
