Incensy Oud
Laurent Mazzone - Black Oud Extreme Amber(BOEA) starts with deep dark incense and lots spices. Quite impresing opening.

In heart notes, I feel the prominent ambergris note which slightly animalic and very salty feel has. Incense and oud note together has some balsamic feel. Oud note very complex and hard to recognize it but very quality. By the way incense notes not churchy style. It's very dark and smoky.

In basenotes you smell it's creamy vanilla and dry woodiness with leather accord. I quite impressed. Drydown smells like a smells the burnt woods and animalic leather. Like a in the middle of a forest fire.

Black Oud (BO) and the flanker which is name black oud extreme amber nothing same perfumes. Yes, BO has prominent oud notes as same as BOEA but, BO is much more a labdanum perfume, but BOEA is incensy and woody perfume.

I have to say; If you want more sweetness with more animalic feel you've to choose BO, but you search for complex and less animalic oud with much spice and quality ambergris you've to choose BOEA

New Year's Eve at Berghain
In the shadow of the comet
Soundtrack: Troy - Shadow of the comet

Berghain is a place where a fragrance must be more than just an accompaniment - it must endure, penetrate, and leave its own mark. Amid flickering lights, bass, and countless merging bodies, scents gather that would immediately swallow delicate compositions. Those who want to stand out here need fragrances that do not whisper, but rather declare: "Here I am." Black Oud Extreme Amber belongs precisely in this category: dark, warm, present - and a little self-absorbed in the most charming way.

Even the first spray envelops the skin with a velvety touch, but with a statement. Amber radiates warmth and opulence, while the oud appears cultured and confident, like black velvet instead of a garish fireworks display. Sweetness, smoke, and earthy depth intertwine perfectly, densely woven, somewhat uncontrolled - a fragrance that demands and receives night, space, and attention.

In the drydown, Black Oud Extreme Amber remains powerful, does not retreat, and does not become skin-close. It intensifies, darkens in its smokiness, unmistakably reminiscent of Black Afgano Extrait de Parfum by Nasomatto - not copied, but as a sovereign, conscious reference.
However, it leaves more of a wink in that direction than it says, "I replace you."

In my second round on New Year's Eve at Berghain - after the previous afternoon - the club revealed itself in full ecstasy. On the floor, bodies, light, and bass merged, the DJ kept the crowd hypnotically moving.
“Shadow of the Comet” by Troy plays, a musical piece that slowly sweeps over the club like a dark comet. Deep, vibrating bass rolls like an unyielding shadow over the dancing bodies, while shimmering synthesizer flashes cut through the air like stardust. The melody builds a hypnotic tension, between chaos and control, between nihilistic ecstasy and hovering darkness. Every beat feels like a pulse that envelops everything, guiding every flow of movement - and in that moment, it feels as if time itself holds its breath.
The great shadow loomed over the dancers, as if they were collectively celebrating the apocalypse. In the midst of this dynamic, Black Oud Extreme Amber felt like the dust of a comet: dark, omnipresent, unmistakable - intangible, yet present.

In the end, a fragrance remains that does not understand presence as a phase, but as a constant. Lush, self-assured, dramatic - and that’s exactly why it’s so good. Black Oud Extreme Amber knows who it is and does not apologize for it.

Darth Vader of Amber Scents
First of all, let's talk about the naming... why extreme? Black? Only ultimate and final are missing.
There could surely have been a better solution.

The bottle is a hit. Angular. Heavy. Beautiful combination of black glass and bronze elements. Unfortunately, everything is shiny plastic. Including the cap.
For €320 MSRP, not exactly the best value!
The sprayer is very fine, but hard to dose - you feel like when you've pressed all the way down, the bottle is almost empty. Definitely more than 0.1ml per spray!

Let's go straight to the scent:
Dark spicy woody
After about 20 minutes, it turns into a beautiful ambered oud note. Very earthy and strong resinous.
Qualitatively very high-end and a joy to smell, it draws across my face.
It's not friendly, but I like that.

The first encounter evokes awe. Like Darth Vader's first appearance. Only later does it reveal its core.

So does the scent. The dark woods give way to an amber note wrapped in incense. Wonderfully vintage sexy and spicy old-school. Yet still very dark. I also think I can smell patch notes.

Ah, what can I say. Great thing. But not a brilliant or even shrill scent. Rather very gloomy. For dark cold days. Distinctive.

I will surely edit my words after wearing it a few times. But until then, thank you for reading :)

Basically smells like Black Oud, just with a bit of added amber. The extra amber creates a slightly brighter base than in Black Oud.

Distinctive scent with a certain vintage feel. Warm amber notes, deep, dark, and balsamic. Subtle smoke, woods, spice, and creamy sweetness.

At first very similar to "Black Oud (Extrait de Parfum)." After about 3 hours, it becomes dark creamy, oriental, amber-like. S+H: TOP!

Dark woods soaked in golden resins. Smoke rises in the background. Vanilla and amber lighten it up.

Glistening, resinous, subtly wild dark wood, less animalistic than Black Oud, but more woodily elegant.

Currently my favorite fragrance. Very nice woody oud performance that lasts a long time. Subtle yet very present / doesn’t bother anyone.

Amber, smoke, and oud interpreted in a sensually dark way. Caressing, enveloping & yet so powerful. Glowing, not blazing.
