Full of pizzazz
Why didn't I hoard this perfume? It's one of the fragrance I'd love to own again. What a pity Valentino discontinued this gem years ago (and gave us nondescript fruity-florals like the recent "Valentina" instead).
Top notes are hyacinth and orange blossom, followed by rose, jasmine, narcissus and marigold. The composition is backed-up by patchouli, sandalwood and musk. It's rich and deep, very original and exhilarating, Sicily in a bottle (this image may serve to explain the perfume's ferocious name). Vendetta conjures up images of blue sky and blazing sun, but the lovely drydown is also very sensuous, the patchouli is quite strong throbbing right through to the very end. Vendetta is not in the least offensive, but radiant and full of pizzazz. So much better than many of the new releases by Valentino. The fan-like flacon was designed by Serge Manseau and is a beautiful collector's object. If only my bottle wasn't empty...
