Smelled it several years ago and it was like needles to my nostrils. I remember it being sharp, dry, almost pinch-nosed in its wearability. Like silver platter room service arriving to your suite and then refusing to serve you for answering the door in your bathrobe. Upon revisit, perhaps that was an unfair assessment. To my more cultured nose it’s a sparkling clean floral: fresh-cut violets, fresh-washed linens, and – despite it not being in the notes – fresh-plucked pears(?) I suppose that’s the blackberry-mandarin, which adds a welcome tang. Lasts a solid six hours, commendable for a such a spick-and-span kind of freshie. I don’t hate it. If I’m ever elected the first female president of a country club, I’ll buy a full bottle.

Mental Snapshot: You’re a marchioness inspecting a potential property. A professional cleaning crew must have just sterilized the place; the marble glistens like snow and the halls waft of lab-cultivated lilies. A “summer house” the agent bills it. “Summer house?” You ask. It’s very sweet and all… but for a whole season? “Darling, I have a house for each month.”

Ferragamo has done quite well with its series of Incanto flankers. While Ferragamo Incanto itself is a serious peach-plum-pimento business for adult women, its flankers (Incanto Charm, Incanto Shine, Incanto Bloom...) are completely unrelated to it and are cheery, fruity concoctions aimed at teens. If they'd been around when I was 13-16, I would have worn them.

Vilhelm Parfumerie has apparently decided to update that series with a slightly more "adult" fruit (blackberry, which has been used to good effect by Trish McEvoy and others) and a bit more chemical fizz. No idea why one would call that "Room Service," which to me suggests a come-hither scent rather than a perky young adult one. If you like the Incanto flankers but want them a bit more grown-up, this might be for you. (It isn't for me -- an unidentified aromachemical in here gave me a headache after a few minutes.)

An upgraded version of Chloé EDP with poor performance

This is a very minimalistic, clean, and likable scent. It reminds me of Chloé EDP, minus the rose note. Those who want to try or own this perfume should not expect it to last more than a few hours or project well. I would say this is a very intimate, cozy, and comforting scent. If you think the price is too high (I do think it’s very expensive for what it offers), go for Chloé EDP.

fresh fluffy towels

Where does this wonderful freshness in "Room Service" come from?
This scent reminds me of fluffy towels, dried in the wind and sun, making them soft and absorbent.
A piece of luxury in fragrant cleanliness that I love to surround myself with.

Blackberries contribute their slightly earthy-dark aroma at the beginning; the mandarin here is juicy and fresh, without its often criticized slight synthetic touch.
The pink orchid does not come across as powerfully sweet and heavy like many of its sisters; this is very pleasant; it does not dominate.
Rather, it emphasizes the slightly old-fashioned naturalness of the violet.
Violet scent is not just a herald of spring for me; it also conjures the image of large, elegant Florentine hats with long ribbons and those very violet bouquets before my inner eye - and of course pure sunshine.
So far, it is a light, finely fruity-floral essence that develops on my skin.
Probably bamboo, refreshingly herbaceous, green, and lively, like a little brook hopping over pebbles, is the secret of this fragrant pleasure.
Surprisingly well, the deep, sensual amber note fits this light-footed friendly "water"; it is meant to be so, nothing overwhelms or steps into the foreground.
A subtly tuned little orchestra is already playing, bringing joy to the senses.
Sandalwood, a good and well-liked friend of mine, harmoniously accompanies the current scent development.
And even musk, sometimes felt to be the downfall of many fragrance creations, has been dosed here with much sensitivity: as a pleasant nuance that proves to be an additional stabilizer of this airy scent fabric in the base.
It wonderfully succeeds in composing a finely tuned symphony from these various fruity, floral, and slightly erotic components that does not become boring.

"Room Service" is of course neither powerful nor long-lasting, but still a lovely surprise.
The bottle with its stylized waves - as I see it - harmoniously underscores the content I experienced.
Once again, hair is an excellent scent carrier.
A few spritzes of "Room Service" spread a buoyancy that reminds me of a light summer breeze.
Thus, I encounter a fragrance that, while not a "must" in the large market of scents, represents a nice change and thus already has its right to exist.
If this "Room Service" would also bring me these fragrant fresh towels twice a day - that would be lovely!

“Room Service” is a slightly feminine Clean Floral with fruity hints and the feeling of freshly washed (bed) linen!

True to its name, “Room Service” undoubtedly exudes hotel and cleaning vibes. More clean than truly pure. But I like this hint of “Something naughty definitely happened here last night…”. Otherwise very tidy, routine, unexcited. The calm after the storm. Now all prim and proper again. Well disguised is half the battle. Musky fluffy. High quality. Reminiscent of “Amethyst”. Overpriced, but very wearable.

Sillage: a delicate lilac blackberry whisper
Longevity: maximum 7 hours until the cleaning lady needs to come back

Conclusion: Luxury hotel room - cool yet cozy!

Clean scent, uneven variant: Lots of nature (blackberry leaf + bamboo clearly!) meets sharp cleaning product. Oh, Vilhelm + Spee won't become friends.
