Beautiful opening

If only this perfume were linear! I love the opening. It opens perfectly sweet, fresh, and figgy—really beautiful. It's more of a fruity fig than a green fig, and an aromatic touch balances the sweetness. A few minutes into the dry down, it smells like an ashtray on my skin. It smells like walking into the home of a heavy smoker. Even deeper into the dry down, much of the sweetness and freshness disappear, and it becomes a bit savory. Eventually, it mellows out and becomes a muted version of the opening with a slightly salty funk.

I typically find indolic florals challenging so that might be what is happening here. Certain jasmine notes smell like rotten breath to me so it could be overpowering the fragrance to my nose. And although I wouldn't wear this myself I can appreciate that it's a well-crafted fragrance.

Hotel Lobby Fig

Absolutely lovely.

I struggle a little with the perfect words to describe this scent. It is fig, and really mostly fig, but it also still isn't a one note fig. To me, it invokes memories of hotels in Croatia, and the roadside stands where I'd buy cartons of juicy ripe figs for next to nothing. It is an easy scent to wear, and works just as well as a daily work scent as it would for a night out - it is going to be my go to scent all summer.

My only negative is that I wish it lasted a bit longer, I get 3, maybe 4 hours out of it on the high end, but since it is so light and fresh it's an easy reapply, overspraying just isn't a thing with this perfume.

Purple Fig from Vilhelm Parfumerie

I really like the smell. Figs I personally riche very clearly at the beginning. Afterwards after about 2 hours it has a green, juicy scent. Very noble and elegant. Very long lasting. I have been smelling it on me for about 5 hours. You can immediately say that the fragrance belongs to the Vilhelm Parfumerie brand, because I think all perfumes of this brand have something in common, which makes them immediately recognizable. A common DNA.
