Elegance and Versatility
After falling in love with and using up an entire 60ml bottle of Y EDP in a few months, instead of "refilling" the EDP, I decided to give Le Parfum a chance and ended up buying the 100ml bottle.
It's an excellent perfume, very pleasant, that gives you a feeling of freshness and cleanliness, as if you had just gotten out of the shower. Light, aromatic and fresh, I've been using it daily for work for about a month. It's an exceptional fragrance for everyday use and ideal for the office environment. In the opening, the green apple note is a little less striking compared to the EDP, and here the ginger stands out more. In the dry down, I feel a sweeter touch, with lavender and geranium very noticeable. It reminds me of the EDP, but as it evolves, it takes a sweeter direction, maintaining the feeling of freshness, perhaps due to the aldehydes present in the olfactory pyramid.
I still have about 5ml of my Y EDP and, from time to time, I use it again. I must admit that I might prefer the opening of the EDP compared to Le Parfum. There is something about the opening of the EDP that I like more, even though it is a more synthetic scent, as many say (which in my opinion is not a bad thing). If I could create the perfect perfume for myself, I would take the opening of the EDP and keep the evolution and dry down of Le Parfum. Both are excellent perfumes! The choice depends on your preference: a touch sweeter or a more synthetic profile.
On my skin, the projection and lasting power were excellent, with about 2 hours of projection and +8 hours of lasting power. As I mentioned, I think it is perfect for work occasions and the office. On hotter days, I prefer the Y EDP, because the extra sweetness of Le Parfum can become a little cloying (I haven't tested it on very hot days yet). I always recommend getting a decant or testing it in a store, since YSL perfumes are expensive in Brazil, but those who like EDP have a good chance of enjoying Le Parfum as well. Perfumasso, it's worth checking out!
