Elegance and Versatility
After falling in love with and using up an entire 60ml bottle of Y EDP in a few months, instead of "refilling" the EDP, I decided to give Le Parfum a chance and ended up buying the 100ml bottle.

It's an excellent perfume, very pleasant, that gives you a feeling of freshness and cleanliness, as if you had just gotten out of the shower. Light, aromatic and fresh, I've been using it daily for work for about a month. It's an exceptional fragrance for everyday use and ideal for the office environment. In the opening, the green apple note is a little less striking compared to the EDP, and here the ginger stands out more. In the dry down, I feel a sweeter touch, with lavender and geranium very noticeable. It reminds me of the EDP, but as it evolves, it takes a sweeter direction, maintaining the feeling of freshness, perhaps due to the aldehydes present in the olfactory pyramid.

I still have about 5ml of my Y EDP and, from time to time, I use it again. I must admit that I might prefer the opening of the EDP compared to Le Parfum. There is something about the opening of the EDP that I like more, even though it is a more synthetic scent, as many say (which in my opinion is not a bad thing). If I could create the perfect perfume for myself, I would take the opening of the EDP and keep the evolution and dry down of Le Parfum. Both are excellent perfumes! The choice depends on your preference: a touch sweeter or a more synthetic profile.

On my skin, the projection and lasting power were excellent, with about 2 hours of projection and +8 hours of lasting power. As I mentioned, I think it is perfect for work occasions and the office. On hotter days, I prefer the Y EDP, because the extra sweetness of Le Parfum can become a little cloying (I haven't tested it on very hot days yet). I always recommend getting a decant or testing it in a store, since YSL perfumes are expensive in Brazil, but those who like EDP have a good chance of enjoying Le Parfum as well. Perfumasso, it's worth checking out!

Best Y
Ysl Y is one of the most known lines from Ysl. Y line consists blue fragrances but in my opinion, no Y can puts it’s own thing into the blue genre, except for this one. Ysl Y le parfums opens with a toned down apple and aldehydes while ginger and grapefruit makes the opening deeper. If you like the aldehydes note (smells like a fabric freshener or detergant) then you will be very pleased. I am not a big fan of aldehydes, but opening is a HUGE improvement from Y edp, I really cannot stand the super sweet apple from Y edp. In the middle, Y le parfum turns out to be extremely aromatic, floral and impressive. Even though the smell is slightly synthetic, it’s extremely well-blended and interesting. In base, with woody notes and olibanum the scent becomes woody and slightly smokey. Really good blue scent and capable of keeping up with Sauvage edp or even Bleu de Chanel. It will even stand out more from the two because it is not overused. Many people are just going with Y edp, Y le parfum will outstand Y edp and you will smell more unique and better. Suitable for every season and every occasion but performance is weather -dependant. Performs CRAZY in spring and fall, 12 hours with 4-5 sprays on my skin with quite impressive projection. Longevity is worse in winter and summer but still good. Price is the only reason for me, 110 dollars for 60 ml (in my country) is a HARD pass, even though I really enjoy the scent. If you can find it for a nice price, don’t miss a bottle.

Cold weather freshie
Smooth lavender, synthetic apple, and sweet tonka beans. Smells like fresh laundry sanitiser. All season, signature scent worthy. More mature and dressed up than EDP. I personally rock this as a gym scent with an all black fit in winter. There's a nice dose of sweetness in here, and it makes for a good fresh, sweet scent for colder weather, as for hotter days though the sweetness can easily become too cloying.

Performance is decent. I get around 5hrs of projection with 6 sprays. Quite easy to get nose blind to due to the aldehyde dominant dna so I suggest avoid spraying the front of your neck or chest.

Sillage is a weird one, the projection is quite good but the fragrance is so aromatic and airy its hard to pick up on especially outside, but its also potent enough where you don't want to overspray indoors.

I was ridiculously excited when I saw it;
So I bought it IMMEDIATELY. I absolutely LOVE the EDP version, so it was a “no brainer” for me. I grabbed it online, and picked it up, curbside.

Now the scent itself? Scent wise, I think it’s great. The apple-esque opening of the EDP on steroids. Very sweet, and full of dark depth. I feel a similarity to the Eros EDP in the mid notes... just erase the minty notes that Eros has, and that’s what’s there. Projection though, is VERY close to skin. This is very disappointing, considering we’re living in a time where wearing masks is mandatory. No one is going to pick this up wearing a mask. Sillage is affected by this as well. This doesn’t say that this doesn’t have longevity, as it lasts on the skin; the problem is, is that it’s ONLY on the skin living... and for $150, you’d expect more.

So yes, I think the scent is great, but would I recommend it to anyone? No, I would say grab a bigger bottle of the EDP... Hell, I think I AM going to, before it’s reformulated.

The perfect blue fragrance
I don’t get why they always discontinue the best one. Ysl y is not my cup of tea but this one has a special touch. Its not so cheap and fresh smelling. The apple is great and kind of smooth. If i could keep one blue/freshie it would be this one.

Its very aromatic and also blindbuy save i would say. If you can get it for a good price you should pick it up.

Smells like a bubblegum stuck to the sole of a sneaker. Sweet, fruity, fresh, extremely synthetic, like so many of the genre in recent years

This fragrance is truly wonderful it lasts me all day and it develops quite wonderfully. More refined and mature than the EDP.

Nice opening. Boring otherwise. No personality. No story behind this.

Not all too close to the OG. It somehow has a sugary sweet dextrose smell that is oddly pleasing. Chemical but... quite nice?!

Too old for the Y line. To each his own, but it smells like a signature scent for 20 yr olds IMO.
