… and if you like sweet scents, you better grab it while you can still find it. My prediction is that it’s gonna be remembered like the Invictus Aqua that everyone started loving after it was too late…

It’s got a great scent. You can tell it’s the Y dna, but it has a younger feeling sweetness as a backbone. That sweetness actually outlasts the Y dna in performance, and it’s what remains on the final drydown. As stated below, it kind of feels like a more mature version of Invictus… KIND OF…

Performance is excellent, a strong opening with a wide projection radius that extends an easy 4ft, and it has a nice sillage that trail lingers nicely for a solid 4 hours. When it pulls back it still smells nice and strong and the final performance on my skin is a solid 8+ hours.

Seriously, if you like the Y line and/or you like sweet scents, you should grab it while it’s still out there, because it only gonna get love when it’s impossible to find… and that’s when everyone is going to want a piece of the fun

YSL Y Live it's like the younger brother of YSL Y Edp. More youthful, more bright and zingy, happier and more versatile (imho).
YSL Y Edp on the other hand is a bit more mature, grown up and more masculine.
Also, I am seeing Live more wearble in the summer while Y edp being sweeter I see it more suitable for spring, autumn and even winter.
Many people resemble Y Live with invictus and I can partially agree in the sense that both have that juicy and fruity aroma but Live maintains that YSL Y Dna.
I see Live as being very versatile (office, casual, meetings and so on) and a huge compliment getter.
A dumb reach without the slightest doubt.
Performance is awesome in my case. I am getting 8-10hrs of longevity with pretty nice projection and scent trail for the first couple of hours.
The only downside it's the fact that it's discontinued and pretty rare to find already.
As always I recommend to try it first and see if it suits you.

Overall : 8.75/10

Scent: Smells like a diluted version of YSL Y EDP + a bit of Invictus | 7/10
Compliments: Really very good - has always been well received by the girls | 8.5/10
Longevity & Sillage: Weaker than the EDP, better than the EDT, 6 hours of longevity and about 2 hours of projection - it could be better | 6/10
Occasion: Only useful in spring/summer, too weak for fall/winter in my opinion | 7/10

Conclusion: A nice, safe & modern scent that brings good compliments but lacks the best performance or uniqueness.

I know I’m going to step on the toes of many "Y" lovers, but I just have to share my opinion on this.
About the scent: what can I say? Synthetic to the core.
It’s so synthetic that I’m afraid to spray it on my hand.
In the end, I might grow a sixth finger and start a career in Cirque de Soleil (by the way, I had to Google the word Cirque du Soleil).
It smells citrusy fresh but in an unpleasant way.
Very artificial, somehow made without love, in the hope of creating a mass pleaser.
Maybe I’m just too spoiled, but I find it terrible.

I would neither recommend it, nor wear it myself, nor give it as a gift.
The only situation where it would come into play is if the Thai restaurant went overboard with the chili again and I’m running home with a pained expression because I need to use the bathroom.
Then and only then would "Y" come into play.

... slightly synthetic. But is that a reason to dismiss it so harshly? I don't think so. I believe it has potential and can be worn well on warm days. Yes, I admit that it is not a masterpiece that turns the fragrance world upside down.

Upon application, a nice pear with citrus notes emerges. There’s also a floral note that softens it but doesn’t make it feminine. The tonka bean adds a slight sweetness. I can't detect the cocoa.

The longevity and sillage are good.

This perfume can be worn by men who enjoy a sweet, fresh scent with a hint of pear. Age doesn’t matter; if you like it, wear it. This scent can be worn for any occasion.

Those who enjoy fresh and sweet fragrances might have fun with this one.
