This Is Her! Vibes of Freedom Zadig & Voltaire 2022

This smells like the listed notes and also has a noticeable This Is Her DNA, but I still expected something a little different. The pear, rose and peony in this are very fresh and clean, even slightly aquatic, and smell synthetic in a shampoo-ish way. Underneath them lies the familiar roasted chestnut and sweet, sticky vanilla from the original This Is Her. This is a bit of a hide-and-seek fragrance to me, sometimes it only smells like a fresh fruity floral, at other times the warmer notes really peak through.
I don't really enjoy the way the pear and florals are done, I prefer those to be a little more natural and juicy instead of shampoo-clean. The way they are, they don't work that well with the Z&V DNA. I guess I expected something creamier and airier from this, something light and breezy to give the titular "vibes of freedom".

It's not an unpleasant scent, I wouldn't mind smelling it somewhere, but I wouldn't chose it from the vast selection of summery designer scents.

On the way to Nutella hell, the crash for the loser squirrel Lemmy Schlemmitz was not far off…

It all started so nicely with some schnapps and delicious fruit brandy and that slightly alcoholic fruity scent…

Uuuuuhhhh, uuuuhhhh… But when so much went wrong in life, one quickly became a Nutella and candy junkie… But rolling chestnuts as a kind of dried cream into his cigarettes was definitely a bit too far…

… and now there was a message from his crush Schokella Swift… Not quite as sweet, but still very much to his taste… "Shall we meet in an hour?" it said…

Oh my God! He was drunk, stoned, and absolutely on his way to becoming completely crazy today… But he had been waiting so long for a date with her…

So he freshened up… Took a shower… Transformed the smell of alcohol into a delicious fresh fruity chestnut aftertaste. Fresh and absolutely seductive.

He was ready…

Schokella should come now…
Spring should come now…

He was definitely ready like hell!

The price-performance ratio of this perfume is hard to beat. And otherwise, Zadig & Voltaire as a brand is irresistibly cool, rock, edgy, urban, and unpretentious.

Its composition is not complicated at all - pear, peony, jasmine, rose, chestnut, and whipped cream. Sounds a bit autumnal, right? But it’s not...
It is perfect for spring, because although it is sweet, it is also fresh. Pear gives it juiciness and freshness, peony purity and floral notes, jasmine and rose romance, and the chestnut with whipped cream creates a unique accord of delicious gourmand sweetness.

A perfume that is incredibly easy to wear… and to love… for the day, for the night, for going out, for work… for everything. Gentle, creamy, sensual, seductive, but also playful, youthful.

With this perfume, Zadig has created such a masterful and confident fragrance that it will surely be commercially very successful. This scent is suitable for lovers of fresh as well as sweet fragrances.

A sample of this treat recently blew into my home with a perfume order. I had never heard of Zadig & Voltaire before. Now I’m really curious about this house...
I initially sprayed this fragrance on paper - and I was instantly in love; I hadn't encountered something so delicious in a long time. Fresh, fruity, sweet, but not too sweet, yet a little bit different.

And then came my wrist. The scent absolutely spectacularly vanished, almost as soon as it made contact with my skin, unbelievable. After just a few minutes, it could really only be smelled directly at the wrist, and after about 1 1/2 hours, there was not even a trace left that it had ever been there.
It's not uncommon to experience slightly lower longevity or sillage, but I had truly never encountered anything like this before.

Nevertheless, Z & V has definitely caught my attention; I hope they have fragrances in their repertoire that my skin doesn’t swallow immediately.

And I can actually highly recommend This is her - vibes of freedom, even though it unfortunately won’t be mine.

The fragrance was described by Vogue in June as the ultimate compliment magnet, which it indeed is at first sniff. The peony in the top note and the jasmine from the heart note are immediately recognizable and evoke a pleasant fresh feeling that makes you want to smell more. When a person carries this scent cloud behind them, it smells heavenly and not heavy.
For my taste, after several hours on my own skin, the sweetness causes headaches, and I would prefer to "wash it off".
However, I still love it on other people!
