Naturally Primordial Empowering Nakedness

This fragrance opens with a gorgeous rainy ylang-ylang orange blossom floral note which is uniquely heady but aquatic at the same time and which reminds me of my other favourite La Pluie. When it dries down it starts to reveal an amazing salty sunkissed skin note beneath that gets eventually stronger and stronger, and I find this olfactory evolution quite magical. Evolution is actually a great word to describe this smell also - it's like a Venus mermaid queen risen from the ocean sunbathing on the hot sand after a tropical rain and being the first human of the reborn evolution, revolution, Eve before Adam, created by Mother Nature, ruling her own paradise island in the perfect balance.

I believe some might find this perfume quite polarizing, it's not a typical easy to wear shower fresh skin musk - in fact I don't find it very musky at all, it's more like a real "your skin but better and amplified" smell. On me it's surprisingly heavy but still giving so intimate vibes. Wearing it feels a little bit like a see-through dress, French manicure and no-makeup makeup - dressed but undressed, simple but empowering. Groomed but natural in an almost primitive way, humane but animalic. Contradictory like human nature. Instinctive primordial nakedness that is meant to be, that is one with the wildlife.

I am not very familiar with Zadig & Voltaire fragrances. Coincidentally I smelled this perfume today. It's a nice floral scent. The Frangi Pani and and orange blossom are enhanced in their freshness of ginger. Sandalwood gives the fragrance its creaminess.
It reminds me a lot of 'La Femme' by Prada. Almost one on one.

Beachy and sweet orange blossom, Z&V style

A creamy, oily orange blossom with soft fluffy white musk and a hint of sweetness.
It basically smells like Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her had a baby with Reminisence Guimauve! A very ethereal and cute baby dressed in the lightest pastels. And Guimauve's genes are more dominant. There is only a hint of the toasty, nutty zadig dna in the drydown. Some sandalwood is noticeable, too.

Overall fee scent has a warm, sun-kissed skin vibe, a bit beachy, so the name undressed is not unfitting for this flanker.

It's enjoyable and nice, nothing I would buy though as it doesn't add anything really new to the summery orange blossom genre. But as usual - maybe it will hit the spot for someone else, so if you're looking for something in this category, it's surely worth a try.

Better than skin

As a relatively inexperienced perfume nose, I have often heard about "better-than-skin scents" and always wondered what that actually means. Does it make sense to wear perfume to smell like skin? Wouldn't one rather want to overlay their own scent with a perfume? Then I sprayed This Is Her! Undressed at my trusted perfumery. It was quite new in the assortment, and I was completely unbiased. There was also little information about the scent on Parfumo. At first, I thought it reminded me of Twilly d'Hermès Eau de Parfum. That was probably the trigger. I didn't particularly like the scent at first. It also emitted a strong alcohol cloud initially. However, the scent changes very quickly. The top note can be disregarded. What remains for me is this very distinct scent of sweet skin, and now the term better-than-skin makes sense to me, like skin that is warmed by the sun and well-moisturized. Unfortunately, the scent is also quite close to the skin. I have to get very close to my wrist to perceive the fragrance. That's a pity because I find it wonderful.

My Beautiful Sandalwood Soap

I am so happy about this scent! I once received a beautiful high-quality soap from abroad as a gift and was very sad when it ran out. Then at some point, I had a sample of Undressed in my hand and nearly fell off my chair because it smells exactly like the soap.
In fact, the perfume also has a very soapy scent, but in a very nice way, in my opinion. The sandalwood is at the forefront, perfectly supported by the other fragrance notes. I am surprised that "powdery" is not mentioned in the description, as I perceive it as an extremely powdery scent. It is also very creamy-sweet (for once, I am glad that there is no vanilla in it, that would probably be too sweet here).
Due to the skin accords, it can generally be classified as a clean scent or "your skin but better" in terms of fragrance direction, however, it does smell quite intense, which for me only fits to a limited extent, as I prefer clean scents to be more subtle.
I have always found Zadig and Voltaire intriguing, but something has always bothered me about their other perfumes; this one I find simply dreamy.
Anyone who loves sweet-powdery scents and sandalwood should definitely try Undressed.
