Orange Blossom Off the Beaten Path
Orange Blossom - AugustA in a test frenzy, the third in two days.

LdE starts off summery and orangey, but the fragrance counters the zest of the orange peel with a slightly herbaceous seriousness that catches my attention. The scent immediately gains depth, which I don't typically associate with an orange blossom fragrance. Not directly spicy, no clove or anything like that, rather jasmine soap with orange blossom as known from the Mediterranean, set against the dull-green spiciness of bay leaf.

The fragrance gradually becomes drier on my skin. I find this interesting and beautiful, until something happens that I didn't expect after about two hours: vegetable soup.
The comments are right, there it is. And it stays, unfortunately.
From that point on, my enjoyment of this somewhat different orange blossom is over, at least for me. It just smells strange. However, I give the fragrance a bonus point for quality because strange is not necessarily bad, and deviation from the beaten path should be rewarded.

Weak Light
(Thanks to Labormaus, I can write a review about an original sample here.)

The German language is very diverse in its expressive possibilities. The phrase weak light can be interpreted in several ways: the relatively poor illumination of a room, an uneasy light, a softly glowing light. All of this applies to me for “Lumière d'Épices.”

The opening is promising for me as a lover of Annick Goutal fragrances: fruity, floral, fresh, sweet - a women's perfume.

But the top note fades, and it becomes unpleasant for me. The Indian jasmine seems to have been harvested at the wrong time or otherwise mishandled. The EdP takes on a stinky progression for my nose. Other perfume houses manage jasmine notes much more pleasantly. But we are still at the heart note.

This too fades, the stench weakens, and for the base, my nose can get much more excited. Here I catch a warm, pleasant orange-wood-spice blend with a hint of flowers. Unfortunately, it is far too weak compared to the overpowering top note. How is a woman supposed to dose this EdP? One spray because of the strong top note and 5 sprays because of the faint base, and the heart note best not sprayed at all? Unfortunately, Lumière d'Épices also departs relatively quickly.

I’ll summarize this: please return to the lab and improve it.

Spice Lamp
According to the pyramid, it could have been a delightful scent, could have. "Lumière d'Épice" starts with a strong tuberose scent along with jasmine. The entire top note is not perceivable to me. Since I have the sample from a traveling package, I look at the label again. It is filled by a user on "a" 22. 5. Everything looks new and clean, the small sprayer is still almost full.
Basically, one shouldn't write a comment with this uncertainty. However, since no one has written one yet, I hope that others will either contradict or confirm my commentary because they have an original bottle.
I preface this, as it may be that some of the scent has already been lost.
For a while, "Lumière d'Épice" develops slightly creamy, which is rare for tuberose scents. I attribute this to the rose that I cannot perceive individually, perhaps musk is also at work. However, after about 45 minutes, the scent already weakens and the jasmine develops its very unpleasant, carrion-like smell for me.
I also cannot perceive orange blossom absolute individually. There are also variations in scents that I find unpleasant and cannot separate from the jasmine mist.
I won't go further into this, as others find these orange blossom and jasmine scents enchanting. They are certainly convincing here.
At the same time, the creaminess recedes and I perceive a mixture of clove and nutmeg. A resinous wood scent also dares to emerge. Cedar? Perhaps.
But I find this mixture unharmonious, independent of my perception of the mentioned white flowers.
Then again, I temporarily smell tuberose, creaminess with slight almond notes. This would make it a very unusual scent. However, gradually, slightly citrus notes emerge and now "Lumière d'Épice" noticeably smells of synthetic fragrance chemicals.
The scent keeps transforming into a tuberose-jasmine mixture, but now always with the spices and slight, sour, unaromatic citrus notes.
The longevity seems mediocre, even if the initially strong sillage quickly weakens. After that, "Lumière d'Épice" remains constant in its medium intensity.
Something is missing for me in this scent, no matter how I perceive the individual flowers now. The scent is uneven. It lacks something soft and lovely.
"Lumière d'Épice" is categorized here as feminine. I could imagine that men who like tuberose and jasmine scents would get along well with this fragrance.

Light of Spices
Lumière d'Èpices was a blind purchase. With a 40% discount, I just had to try it, and the comments sounded good as well.
I find all the fragrances by Terry de Gunzburg are beautifully presented. I really like the simple yet high-quality looking design.

Upon the first spray, the scent is very nice and zesty-fresh, but by no means sour. You can clearly recognize the blood orange. I definitely like it a lot already.
After a few minutes, the jasmine comes through. You can also clearly detect the orange blossoms. The scent generally becomes softer and creamier. Additionally, it becomes slightly spicy, but not overwhelming at all. The spices remain in the background; I can't quite pinpoint what they are.
In the base, the scent becomes more intimate. It is slightly spicy and creamy, still perceptible to me, but the surrounding environment probably won't be able to notice it anymore.

All in all, a really successful fragrance that I like very much. I usually prefer sweeter scents, but this one is something different in my fragrance collection.
The only thing that leaves a bit to be desired is the longevity. Given the price (and fortunately I paid significantly less than the original price), I had hoped for a really longer lasting scent.

Soapy, floral - nothing special but also not particularly bad
First of all, a big thank you to AugustA/O for the opportunity to test this :)) Here’s my quick take:

Top: Lightly zesty with soapy-floral undertones.

Heart: no dominant spices, but a very deep orange blossom combined with the floral soapiness from the top note.

Base: Almost no change from the heart. Overall now softer and gentler. For me, it becomes more pleasant from here on.

Soup association? Luckily not for me *laughs*

Good or bad? I would say it’s wearable. But it’s not really my thing. Too soapy and overall a bit boring.

Worth a test? Definitely, because luckily taste is debatable and everyone smells something different anyway ^^

Primarily a sweet-creamy white floral scent. Spices, citrus notes, and woody companions play a more subordinate role. Good!

For me, it's a twin of "Fleurs d'Oranger" by Lutens. It has the exact same cumin note. I like it.

Spices don't play a role here. A well-made scent with lots of flowers, sweet, creamy, and very feminine, but also a bit cloying.

Beautiful orange blossom. All flowers and blooms are perfectly balanced, so they never come off as "loud" or "overwhelming." Nice.

Complex scent of deliciously sweet lightly spiced fruits (with a subtle pear note).
Elegant and liqueur-like warm, but unfortunately doesn't last long..

The name fits. Spicy, radiant, warmly enveloping. A scent for the opera or for a sensual evening.

This is the scent of blooming jasmine. Loud, cheeky, shrill, but elegant + a hint of spice. The base is soapy. A bit retro. No, thanks.
