Drink the scent and spray yourself with tea… uh, the other way around of course! :D
Hello, folks from Parfumo! Welcome to a new comment from me. And even though I’m presenting a rather summery scent again in this cold season, this fragrance is still something special because it… ta-daaaa,… is a great tea scent once again after a while.
Those who know me are aware that I really like tea scents. And that I also enjoy drinking tea a lot. So don’t be confused that I have a huge cup of coffee sitting next to me while I write this; it was just time for a coffee again :D
Moreover, I’m drinking it from one of my favorite coffee mugs, namely a gigantic Halloween pumpkin mug!! I should take a photo of it… but maybe the mug will also appear in the photos of my upcoming Christmas blog, we’ll see :)
But let’s get back to the scent. The inspiration for this fragrance came from teas from Mauritius, the island nation in the Indian Ocean. It is supposed to convey a summery, beautiful freshness, even if it should only last for a moment, somewhat like the thirst-quenching property of beverages like tea, which can (warm, not boiling) also be enjoyed well in summer and should be, as it not only helps you take in a lot of fluids but also doesn’t make you sweat as much as drinking something cold would.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the scent because… well,… it’s tea! :)
The camphor, which some apparently can’t smell, is already quite present for me here. In any case, I can detect its slightly medicinal and robust scent, even though it remains more in the background and is best smelled only when sniffing closely at the sprayed spot. It may occasionally appear in the scent cloud, but it’s not strong for me, which is good because camphor is a rather acquired scent note (at least in my opinion). A little later, a gentle sweetness emerges, probably from the musk, which smells pleasant and makes the fragrance even more beautiful.
Later, the camphor becomes even weaker, so the scent comes across as a bit more robust through the tea. The great thing is that the fragrance smells very authentic, almost as if you had (hopefully NOT running!! :D) your nose stuck in a tea canister to smell the robust scent of the dried tea leaves. In the base, lavender is slightly detectable due to its floral-robust spice, but I certainly wouldn’t have guessed it immediately if I hadn’t seen it on the list…. That’s basically it, so the scent gradually fades away after not too long.
So, that was Thé Glacé. And I really liked it! So much so that it will be added to my list of good tea scents. It smells very authentic and is therefore very delicious for tea lovers, so one might even get the silly idea to try the scent. Which is, of course, not advisable, as the taste of any fragrance is truly miserably terrible… and you’d better not ask me how I know that :DD
The scent is a great refreshment in summer and ensures that you smell pleasant even in high temperatures without overwhelming the surroundings. It is, as the subtitle “Aqua” probably already suggests, rather weak and short-lived, but that’s also the case with comparable scents, like Jo Malone’s Jade Leaf Tea.
In any case, this fragrance is highly recommended for anyone who likes tea and isn’t afraid of the medicinal camphor, as I find that it faded more and more after spraying (of course, scent perceptions are subjective, but still…).
Well then, go make yourself some tea. And eat cookies if you’ve already made some. After Halloween, I slowly start to get into the Christmas spirit, where cookies in cat shapes are baked and a lot of tea (but also coffee) is consumed :)
And remember this scent for summer; it could definitely be worth it!
Have a nice evening and see you next time,
Your beloved DonJuanDeCat :D

The scent:
Oooooh! Right at the beginning, I smell a wonderful, robust tea mix of black tea and green tea (though it’s probably more the mate that I’m smelling), along with a slightly weaker lemon verbena, which pairs very well with the tea notes. The grapefruit also fits very well as a citrus scent to these tea notes and makes the fragrance more summery; by the way, it is also more noticeable than the lemon verbena. The camphor, which some apparently can’t smell, is already quite present for me here. The sillage and longevity:
Ah yes, as expected, the sillage is quite low. Initially, it might still be slightly spritzy due to the grapefruit, but the scent loses intensity very quickly and can only be smelled from up close, although if applied generously to clothing, a nice scent can rise up for a while. The same goes for longevity. I found that it disappeared quite quickly from the skin after a few hours. On clothing, however, you can gain a few extra hours, but that applies to all fragrances anyway. The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and tall. The cap is also rectangular but has strongly rounded sides and a slightly bulging surface. The label features beautiful yellow-green line patterns that make the bottle look even more attractive. The edge of the label, the small box with the fragrance name, and the cap are usually chrome-plated, but in Russia, they are gold-plated. All in all, a very beautiful bottle. So, that was Thé Glacé. And I really liked it! So much so that it will be added to my list of good tea scents.
