The Boldest Câline Fragrance Yet
Câline is a brand I can appreciate a lot: In such a short time, they have established themselves as one of the best fragrance brands in the low-price segment.
Until now, Câline primarily focused on scents that, due to their simplicity, could be liked by a wide range of people as so-called "Crowd Pleasers."
With Mystic White, Câline has taken Xerjoff Naxos as a model. A model that impresses with its complexity and cannot be worn for all occasions or liked by everyone.
Câline has done a very good job here and has reasonably replicated the Naxos, while Mystic White also brings its own nuances: The top note of the fragrance is noticeably more citrusy, making the scent smell fresher upon application than its predecessor.
However, this fresh top note quickly dissipates, and the heart and base notes come into play, as the fragrance develops in a sweet-smoky direction.
The honey and tobacco notes lead to a very oriental scent profile.
The longevity is perfectly fine for the price, as the scent can be perceived for about 6-7 hours.
The sillage is initially very strong, decreases after about 1-2 hours, but is still somewhat present.
Now for the conclusion: The Mystic White doesn't quite match my personal taste, as I do enjoy the fresh-citrusy top note very much, but not so much the oriental heart and base notes. However, I can still acknowledge that Câline has delivered another very good performance here for a small price.
