Direction Oud Maracuja
After I reported on the "Art of Nature II | Lattafa Pride," I must, of course, also cover the first one. This I is already extremely overshadowed by the number II. This is probably also due to the scent type, as this sweet gourmand direction simply reaches more people and is also significantly more pleasing. Those who enjoy this mix of oriental oud-leather-spice with a nice bright fruit mix could find a great fragrance here. The two similar scents Oud Maracujá and "Ajwad Pink to Pink / أجود | Lattafa / لطافة" are rightly listed as similar fragrances; however, this scent is independent and not too close to these fragrances that one could call it a dupe. Especially Oud Maracuja fans should not get their hopes up too high and keep their expectations in check. The fruity notes are significantly more present here, and different fruity notes have been chosen. Also, this light Ombre Nomade vibe is not present here.

Similar to the Art of Arabia II, the packaging is in shiny gold and quite flashy. However, the content is rather modest, as this desert image appears somewhat cheap. It's not completely bad, but high-quality and serious is something else. But as it is: The scent matters, and the spraying is impeccable, at least in the low-budget price range.
From the scent, as mentioned, you get a great twist of juicy fruit and an oud-like oriental vibe. I really like the fruit mix. The notes from the pyramid are all present and easily detectable. Black currant has a wonderful slightly tart vibe, and together with the fig, this fruity note comes across really well and doesn't feel too generic. Plum & rhubarb also mingle in the opening. Rhubarb is quite active and slightly reminds one of Encelade by Barrois. Plum is the least noticeable of the fruits but is subtly in the background. To this fruity DNA, a rose-oud combo with soft leather quickly emerges. This oriental combo is also already noticeable in the top notes, beautifully complementing the fruit. Later, this combo takes over when the fruity notes fade a bit. However, this DNA of the top notes does not change too much. The base then becomes a bit sweeter and more sensual with some vanilla & amber + this already present oriental mix including leather. Overall, it's a great mix of pleasing fruit and the oriental blend. It may not appeal to everyone, but it is original and has character.
Performance is quite good as expected for this scent type. Specifically for leisure, this fragrance is very well suited and accompanies the wearer with an interesting unique mix. It lasts at least 8 hours with good sillage over an extended period.

In my opinion, it's not an Oud Maracuja dupe, but for those who like this fruit-oud direction, they should give this scent a try. A modern mix that I personally like very much.

The Better Oud Maracujá?
This question has been on my mind since I blind bought "Art of Nature I | Lattafa Pride." The scent notes sounded more interesting and diverse in the description than those of Oud Maracujá. When the sample finally arrived, I could hardly wait to apply the first spray to my skin.

With the first spray, an intense, fruity aroma unfolded. For me, a ripe, juicy plum stood out, which also had a slightly bitter note. This bitterness added depth and character to the fruitiness, which I immediately liked. The plum was accompanied by a subtle hint of black currant, perfectly rounding off the fruity opening.

After a few minutes, the scent began to transform. The initial sweetness of the fruits slowly gave way to a darker, more complex note. The leathery nuances emerged, which I already recognized from Oud Maracujá. Here I notice: In the base, Art of Nature 1 and Oud Maracujá are almost identical. The leather and wood tones feel warm, elegant, and very high-quality. This parallel makes the two fragrances almost interchangeable in depth.

What clearly sets Art of Nature 1 apart from Oud Maracujá is the fruitier and livelier top note. While Oud Maracujá always leaned a bit towards Ombre Nomade for me - with a heavier, less fruity start - Art of Nature 1 creates a distinctly more pleasant, fresher, and more accessible balance here. The fruity notes give the fragrance a unique character without sacrificing depth or elegance.

When it comes to longevity and sillage, Art of Nature 1 exceeds expectations. The scent lasts for hours on the skin and is present in the air without being overpowering. Especially the combination of the fruity top note and the heavy base ensures that the fragrance impresses both at the beginning and in the dry-down phase.

For me, Art of Nature 1 is definitely the "better Oud Maracujá." The fruity top note gives it a unique identity and makes it feel fresher and more modern. If you are already a fan of Oud Maracujá but are looking for a slightly fruitier and more versatile alternative, Art of Nature 1 is the perfect choice. For me, this fragrance is a successful evolution that unites the best of both worlds - fruitiness and elegance.

For me, not an "Oud Maracujá" but still beautiful!
Of course, the Art of Nature I has been inspired by the Oud Maracujá in some way, but I was definitely not as captivated by it, and other fruits were more intense. The longevity on my skin is about 12 hours with a successful sillage.

The top note starts fruity, sweet, and somewhat synthetic with aromas of blackcurrants, dried plums, sultanas, raspberries, rhubarb, raisins, and figs. The heart note takes a leathery and floral direction, primarily carried by rose water. The base smells woody-resinous with a lot of oud but also oriental-spicy thanks to amber, benzoin, vanilla, nutmeg, saffron, and allspice.

No, the Art of Nature I is not a clone of Oud Maracujá for me, but a beautiful scent in its own right! Many thanks to Sören for that!

Art of Nature I - Lattafa Pride
This fragrance is a prime example of how to combine modern fruitiness with dark depth and an oriental character without falling into clichés. Art of Nature I is not a loud oud scent, nor is it a trivial summer fragrance - it is a composition that stands out, piques curiosity, and clearly distinguishes itself from the crowd.

The opening already surprises with a fruity explosion: blackcurrant, fig, plum, and even rhubarb offer a sweet-sour interplay that feels juicy and slightly provocative. These notes dominate the opening without being artificial or sticky - more like ripe fruits on dark leather. The fruitiness brings a certain liveliness, but from the very beginning, it is underpinned by an aromatic depth that makes one curious about the further development.

In the heart note, leather takes the lead - not too animalistic, but smooth and noble. The rose holds back, supporting the structure with a floral softness. The leather recalls a dark vintage jacket rather than a motorcycle helmet, giving the fragrance a slightly nostalgic yet stylish facet. Here, too, the skill of the composition is evident: the floral and spicy elements complement the fruitiness without overshadowing it. A beautiful balance emerges from the fresh opening and deeper heart.

Things get exciting in the drydown - this is where the oriental components come into full play: oud, ambergris, and vanilla. The oud is present but not overpowering. No stable, no smoke, no medicine - instead, warm, woody depth with subtle spice. The vanilla adds creaminess and a slight sweetness that rounds off the entire arrangement. Ambergris provides the lightly salty, diffusive aura that makes the fragrance feel noble and alluring. Overall, an oriental-fruity scent profile emerges that combines both modern and classic elements.

As for the effect: Art of Nature I is a compliment magnet. The fruity opening ensures accessibility, while the dark drydown provides character. Particularly interesting is how differently people react to the fragrance - some praise its depth and masculinity, while others admire its original fruitiness. This makes it a true "What are you wearing?" scent without being polarizing.

The longevity is about 8 to 12 hours, and the sillage is strong but not intrusive. Ideal for cool spring days, autumn, and mild winter. Also wearable in the office - provided one doses carefully. In a date context, it works particularly well: noticeable but not too sweet, charismatic, and self-assured.

Art of Nature I is a fragrance that does not simply "please" - it impresses. It tells a story of maturity, depth, and elegant extravagance. For lovers of fruit-leather compositions with an oriental foundation, it is a must-buy. Those who enjoy oud but want to avoid the loud Arabic style will find an accessible variant here with plenty of personality.

A fragrance with recognizability, wearability, and artistic ambition - definitely one of the most exciting representatives from the Lattafa Pride line.

Mixed Feelings
To simply test what Lattafa has to offer, I ordered "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa Pride." The purchase price is enticingly low, which is, in my opinion, the most convincing argument for the fragrance.
It starts off fruitily interesting. The plum is clearly recognizable, and the first leather accords are hinted at. In the background, vanilla shyly waves at me. So far, so good.
Sillage and longevity are not bad either, especially when I keep the slim price in mind. But unfortunately, the fragrance develops negatively in the drydown and becomes somewhat unpleasant for me. The indicated oud seems strange to me. This is probably where the lower price becomes noticeable. Ultimately, the scent is also too feminine for me.
The bottle and packaging give a high-quality impression, making the fragrance a perfect gift for an uncle or aunt aged 60+. :)

Unfortunately another clone of Oud Maracuja. Feels rough. Ajwad Pink to Pink is better.

Initially fruity with blackcurrant, the scent is mainly a strong oriental with a typically robust oud-leather base. Quite heavy.

Green fig, juicy plum, dark berries, and a hefty dose of bright leather and delicate oud. H/S is bombastic.

Heavy, fruity, oud-leathery. Too demanding for me. I haven't smelled the original yet.

The resemblance to Oud Maracujá is undeniable - a strong oriental that tends to lean more towards that direction in the drydown!

It leans towards Oud Maracuja, but is fruitier and less sharp. A good alternative.

Great fruity-sweet scent with a spicy-leathery-woody-oriental background like Oud Maracuja. Clearly fruitier. Worth it!
