Agreeable blend of coffee and woods
Sampling Maison Tahite Velvet Coffee, my final try of their most recent coffee quartet, a blended creamy coffee scent the sweetness of which is toned down by the addition of a variety of elements like sandalwood, leather, and patchouli. As with most of the coffee scents, it’s not really a gourmand, nor is coffee especially dominant, but coffee is still a prominent, noticeable part of the mix. I think it’s a pleasant blend, overall, less powdery than I Ristretto and a little more of a muted down alternative to that, all together. Certainly I’d recommend sampling this and the other coffee scents, though, which I purchased in discovery scent on Luckyscent but that is unfortunately currently sold out.
Like the rest of the house, Velvet Coffee is priced at $115 for 100ml, in EDP concentration, very reasonable pricing for niche/independent house, and is sold at Luckyscent and a couple of other boutiques in the US.
