Pleasant vanilla gourmand
Maison Tahite VaneXtasy is my final try of the house from my two sample sets, and fittingly, a vanilla-led fragrance with a bit of coconut/caramel/milky/floral supporting cast, light while still being decadently sweet, a nice additional option in this catalogue of many gourmands and several other vanilla fragrances. I quite like it, even if it’s not at the very top of my list of the house or its vanillas. It’s definitely worth trying, as I can say of most of the house, especially for gourmand lovers, who will find plenty of not only vanilla, but also coffee and chocolate, in this house.

Like the rest of the line, this is priced at $120 for 100ml in EDP concentration (sold at Luckyscent and other boutiques), very reasonable for niche perfumery in today’s market, and the fragrance performs well.

The name is misleading - unlike the scent
With "VaneXstasy | Maison Tahité," I expected an ultra-heavy vanilla gourmand, something on the level of "Tobacco Vanille (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford."
A typical scent that reminds one of Christmas, unbearable in summer, and pleasantly overwhelming.

I was completely surprised by how it turned out. VaneXstasy starts very unobtrusively and rather unspectacularly. Coconut is relatively clear to recognize, especially once you know it.
Honestly, I don't smell any caramel here.
But vanilla is present from the very beginning. However, here came the surprise for me. I don't perceive the vanilla as I find it in all the sweet fragrances ("Tobacco Vanille (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford," "Layton | Parfums de Marly," and so on). VaneXstasy reminds me more from the first moment of sticking my nose into a jar of vanilla pods that have not been cut or scraped.

In contrast to seemingly many others here, I perceive this vanilla note as extremely natural. Completely free of artificial sweetness and far from vanilla sugar, as some describe this scent. The woods form a nice base for the fragrance and complement the impression of the natural, plant-based vanilla pod without really standing out in the foreground.

All in all, VaneXstasy unfolds very linearly. I don't perceive any significant scent development; it remains practically the same from the spray to the dry down until it disappears. Only a tiny bit of sweetness joins in over time.
For me, this is quite positive; I really like the scent with its lifelike quality, and it creates a sense of confidence and calm, as one always knows how one smells, even when one can't smell oneself.

The Tahité is a great opportunity for me to wear vanilla outside of winter without immediately standing out. A way to wear a bit of confidence and uniqueness without imposing on the surroundings.

To say a quick word about the bottle: I find the simple yet thoughtful brown bottle extremely beautiful and handy, and it looks very appealing in a collection. The price-performance ratio is also top-notch at around €90 for 100ml!

The Family Humidor
The scent was suggested by the retailer. To be honest, I didn't find the bottle particularly appealing, but more on that later. However, I found the name intriguing and treated myself to a look at the fragrance pyramid. I love coconut and vanilla. Sorry, I’m really quite simple in that regard.
So, I included it as a sample in my order.

The scent is here and was immediately applied to paper and my wrist. I close my eyes and instantly feel a lovely vacation vibe. I think of tropical nights in Thailand and Bali. A soft vanilla dances on my skin and mingles with silky coconut milk. Then, with the caramel, there’s a very brief ménage à trois. The spell doesn’t last long, and the scent becomes more serious. What comes through? Tobacco? Leather? Wood? It strongly reminds me of a cigar humidor. It smells of cedar wood and light tobacco. A fine, delicate, soft, light tobacco. Could that be Peru balsam? I don’t know it and just attribute it to that. In any case, the scent takes a great turn, becoming a bit more robust. This makes it, in my eyes (my nose), quite unisex. This is a family scent that anyone can wear. Man, woman, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, brother-in-law ....

When would I wear it? Since I had it on, I first took it with me shopping. Afterwards, it was time for Sunday dinner at my in-laws. It already made a good impression there.
I imagine wearing it for my dad's 80th birthday. We sit together comfortably, flipping through the photo book we gave him, reminiscing about the good old days. About the racetrack, about horses, about the pictures where he still has a cigar. We think of mom, who is no longer with us, and are happy about his new family and his second wife.
Maybe we’ll take a walk in the autumn forest together with the dog.
In the evening, I sit cozily with my husband. We both wear this scent and let the evening wind down with a good book or a game of chess. Should I play "The Queen's Gambit"...? (I really enjoyed the series on Netflix, and the scent reminds me a bit of it).

Conclusion: A warm scent with a buttery soft vanilla and light coconut milk, a bright warm tobacco note (nothing smoky, cold, or anything like that). This combines with cedar and sandalwood. A rounded, cozy leisure scent.
I’m not entirely sure about the vanilla. I like it a lot. It’s exactly the kind of vanilla I’m looking for. I’m just an amateur, though. In my nose, it’s not a YSL or Guerlain vanilla - it’s softer, rounder, and doesn’t perform quite as long. Many might not like that. So always test it first;-).

Critique: The longevity is indeed not great. After about three hours, you might want to reapply. Perhaps layering it with a molecule scent (Molecule 01 or JhaG Not a Parfum) could help increase longevity. I could also imagine an orange note (mandarin, mango, maybe orange) working well with it. I will experiment with that as well.

Back to the bottle. Maybe not beautiful but very practical. The apothecary bottle protects the contents from sunlight thanks to the dark glass.

The brand: Maison Tahité emerged from a project/fragrance workshop. The first line focuses on gourmand scents with vanilla as the raw material. Additionally, the brand has committed to sustainability. This is reflected in the fact that the outer packaging is made from recycled cardboard. The labels are made from almond shells, and a plant-based glue is used. Apparently, each package also includes a small planting card. With it, a flower/plant can be grown.

After all, this scent has made it onto my wish list. Not a showstopper, but something cozy and familial can’t hurt the fragrance wardrobe.

Stay clean, healthy, and fragrant
Yours, Donnagirl

Bianco Latte Softie ...I love it!
Very beautiful scent!!!
For those who find Bianco Latte too punchy or penetrating but love this caramel-coconut-vanilla direction, VaneXstasy could be just right.
I personally love Bianco Latte and use it a lot for layering. However, I always have to be careful not to take too much, as Bianco Latte is simply a beast.

My sister really likes Bianco Latte on me, but she finds it too extreme on herself (1 spray on the back would probably be the maximum for her).
On the other hand, she thinks Vanexstasy is great.

I believe that VaneXstasy is perfect, especially for more sensitive noses or people who don’t want to fill the entire room with their scent. It’s cozy and well "dressed," but still allows the surroundings to perceive the fragrance.
Perfect for the cold season and very suitable for all genders.

Who’s baking vanilla crescents here?
VaneXtasy … no one can be as sweet as you. No, seriously.
A very sweet sugary vanilla scent, completed with a lightness that is unexpected. Upon the first spray, one assumes it is a very heavy vanilla fragrance, but it is the complete opposite. The vanilla is fully present - however, it does not aim to weigh heavily on the shoulders, making you just want to let go. Perfectly balanced vanilla with top longevity. Compliments come free with the bottle.

A resinous caramel made with a splash of coconut milk, vanilla extract, plus a slightly nutty peru balsam. Sweetness balanced by woody base.

Based on its name, I thought this would have a much more commanding vanillic presence, but this just feels and smells like an afterthought.

Meh. Synthetic wood notes, coconut oil, and peru balsam with a faint touch of vanilla. Smells flat to my nose, and was gone within 3 hours.

The least interesting of the vanilla branch of this brand, but by no means unpleasant. Just a nice, straightforward vanilla.

Vanilla ice cream and hot rubber tires on asphalt,
smoky and sweet.
Sounds bad, but it's great. A vanilla scent for summer.

Seductive vanilla scent with a hint of coconut and delicate caramel hearts. A gentle whiff of tobacco for the bold. I am VaneXtatic!
