Midnight Sun
This oriental, lush-opulent fragrance is truly one of a kind.
I struggled with it for a long time, wanted to sell it, but somehow it never worked out. Then I took it out of the souk again and stored it in the dark.
I had also bought it blind and found it too "chypre-like" in my inexperience with fragrances. The slightly bitter, smoky notes bothered me.
Today I think - its time just hadn't come for me yet.
I hadn't yet experienced Oud, and smoke didn't fit with flowers for me back then.
In the meantime, I have smelled many smoky-oriental fragrances, and this one is very harmonious and delicately composed. This scent does not have the typical Oud Rose blend as its theme. No, it is much more complex and colorful.
Midnight Sun does not come across as artificial to me and, despite its initial strong radiance, never becomes overpowering.
This morning, I suddenly felt like wearing this fragrance, and it flatters the cold, gray, dreary weather, making it warmer, more colorful, sunnier. A quick spray in the air and walking through the fine veil - beautiful!

Midnight Sun is very intense in the first half hour to hour. Afterwards, it becomes quite wearable for the day, yet remains noticeable. I initially smell heavy, narcotic flowers, with a minimal bitter touch and a delicate smoky, woody base note.
The Oud is really only very subtly present, just a hint and barely recognizable.
I smell the warmer sandalwood more strongly, which comes across very naturally here. I would almost insist that there is real sandalwood in the fragrance and not a cheap imitation.
Above all, the classic roses and orange blossoms stand out. I also perceive tuberose here only softly and as a supporting note. It is not dominant or gum-like, but rather accentuates the rose.

The fragrance feels warm and noble and can enchant one during autumn and cold winter days. It has something golden about it, which is also reflected in the bottle and the color of the perfume. It is very well crafted. A turned, heavy, brass-colored cap sits atop. The heavy glass bottle is nestled in a red, high-quality fabric pouch. I still have the version with the red glass stones. The bottle is a decoration and fits very well in the hand.
In the meantime, the bottle is now in a gold-colored, surrounding grid at the bottom, as I saw on the homepage. No idea if this is made of metal or plastic.
Whether the fragrance was also adjusted with the design, I cannot say.
The Oud note was probably not listed on the homepage before, but it was already present. When I bought it, it was probably exactly the note that had put me off because I didn't know it.

The woman who wears it should be strong and self-confident.
Nothing should be able to knock her down easily. Fortunately, life experience brings that along.
She must be able to wear this fragrance with her strength; otherwise, it will wear her.
In my opinion, she should not be very young anymore, but rather a mature woman.
It has a seductive character, but not cheap. Midnight Sun fits well for the evening, but I would also recommend it for dark days. The longevity is good, over eight hours.

I have the feeling that the fragrance will never go off, and it is also a classic scent that only gets better with age. Much like women...

I'm grabbing Florblanca now and traveling with her to where the sun shines at night!
Why? Because I think this would be a scent just to the taste of our Rose Flori! Come on Flori, let's take a time trip to next summer in the northern hemisphere, to the so-called white nights. There the sun (almost) never sets and the most beautiful flowers seem to bloom. Above all roses, roses, roses and tuberoses! The gardenia plays a minor role, so you don't have to worry about that. The floral rush is incredible and remains very opulent for hours. NO, it’s not a Biedermeier bouquet on the nightstand! A radiant floral flash for special occasions that gently fades into a soft woodiness at the end, but that certainly lasts 12 hours or more! So what? In the Nordic countries, it never gets dark in summer anyway, no talk of sleeping, so a long-lasting scent like this is quite useful.

No superlative is too much here
I admit, I am biased. One of my favorite fragrances for years requires courage to wear. The flood of flowers that washes over you like a wave can be almost overwhelming at first. Gardenia, tuberose, and rose definitely take the lead here. The other flowers serve only for a brief refreshment. It takes a while for these nobles to connect with the skin and then become softer. Now sandalwood and musk also have a chance to make their presence known. All together they envelop you like a lace veil, not white, not black, somehow dark red with a hint of purple. Who was it that said they associate scents with colors? This fragrance is color. Not for the shy or people with weak noses. Because it lasts, lasts, lasts..... But I love it!

Oh, what an interesting scent experience! Spicy oud and burnt wood from the campfire drift in the cool, nighttime desert wind.

Starts off very woody-herbaceous on me despite the flowers (old sample?) It does become milder, but I have other favorites in the rose-oud-orientals.

Girls, if you're looking for a really great fragrance again: you can find it here. Flowers, wood, spice, oriental market.

A lush, opulent floral scent with a slightly dry note. It starts off very strong, then mellows out.
