Enchantment vs. Midsummer Dream - The direct comparison.
I am a big fan of the Roja Dove fragrances. Like some other perfumes, however, the rather high price puts me off.Wir speak here partly of costs over 450€ for 50ml. Prices that I am not willing to pay. The perfumo community has already taught me some news and trends and so I came to the DUA-Fragrance Lockangebote via a post.
DUA has thrown itself on the niche perfumers and tries to bring their apparent 1:1 copies to the man/woman by clever marketing of convincing YouTube protagonists.high quality fragrances almost at junk prices - or not?
Well - not quite. After all, almost 2€ per ml (incl. shipping from the USA) are due!
Some flacons I bought blindly, whose statements should follow soon (I don't want to talk about the presentation of the flacons and their quality, because it is not given).
"Butter to the fishes. What can such a smell of dua do?"
I ordered a sample of Enchantment to start a direct comparison. A fair comparison I have firmly decided to make. Unbiased - of course. Price and name must not play a role.Den beloved and very expensive Roja Midsummer Dream I had already ersoukt here as a 2ml sample.
You notice that my objectivity leaves a lot to be desired... however, in the next few lines I will try to detach myself from my brand feelings.
I wanted to take my time and try to do an intensive test. So on a Saturday morning I sprayed two pump strokes of "A Midsummer Dream" on the back of my left hand and 2 strokes of "Enchantment" on my right hand.
A minute passes and I try to close my eyes:
The opening phase:
"AMD", after the alcoholic note has disappeared, goes straight to the start, citrusy and woody. Ehrlich said I do not like the beginning of so many fragrances. Roja and DUA are no exception. "E" begins clearly more citric, sparkling. You could say that the aggressive bubbles of a mineral water shoot into my nose and the bergamot waves with a grin just before bursting. Die other described notes I hardly notice at first.
After 20 minutes:
Roja welcomes me with a beautiful vanilla paired with a slightly citric note and the fragrance begins to wrap me warmly. It feels so complex and balanced. I do not smell it - I feel it! He takes me in and carries me in his soft arms. I close my eyes and let myself be seduced by a cloud to take a little nap. "Please, just for a moment - not because I'm tired, but because it's just getting warm and nice."

My wife's conversations take my mind off things. But again and again I try to find answers to my questions: "How can a scent of a clone house be so familiar? How does it always bring "E" to the top positions of the best Dupes? There must be something to it. SOMETHING!"Roja transforms some of its nuances into the most extraordinary forms. Like a ray of sunshine slowly shining through a window occupied by a mosaic stone, the fragrance takes on individual colours. The cedar wood comes to the fore - enveloped in musky powder. But hold back. Everything seems very calm, balanced and slow flowing. There are no loud and rapid changes in "AMD". Do you know concentration music stored on piano? This could be a soundtrack to Roja's Midsummer Dream.Wohingegen which would be the equivalent of DUA's Enchantment of a loudly rattling Harley Davidson.
After three hours:
I forget my experiment. For the last two hours I have been talking about the missed opportunities of electric mobility and the fundamental business location Germany. I'm not a very good judge of scents. I leave this competence to the more talented users of our great community. However, after three hours I can say that "E" has adopted 95% of the DNA of "AMD". The remaining 5% differ for me in the pleasant sweetness and brightness. I attribute both characteristics to Roja.
But the way up to here was too passionate for me. Whoever appreciates spirited relationships in which cups can fly should dare to love "E". Für my character is too erratic and unbalanced - like that of a pubescent teenager.
Moreover, the early transformation of the soft pillow into a stone damaged me and left a gaping wound at the back of my head.
I enjoyed the comparison and found it very exciting even though I decided not to buy "E". Too unique and exclusive was the experience of my midsummer dream.
