LMC vs Baraonda
Round One, Fight!

In the opening, LMC comes across like a poorly mixed zombie (cocktail), it practically burns in the nose, too much of a good thing! Baraonda is much softer, warmer, smoother, sweeter, gentler here.
LMC 0:1 Bara

20-30 minutes played, Round 2!
The (exaggerated) sharpness fades away, the duel is now on equal footing. Schnaps, wood, a distant campfire. LMC is more direct, angular, masculine. Bara is sweeter, more cuddly, smoother. Both score, outstanding.
LMC 1:2 Bara

In overtime, after 120 minutes, LMC scores again with a touch more presence and slightly more reach.
LMC 2:2 Bara

Conclusion:
For me, despite the dreadful opening, LMC is the better choice. A bit more direct, a bit less sweetness, and on top of that, it costs, including discount, not even a third of Baraonda.

It hit me!
For reasons I can't quite explain, I couldn't make much of it during the first sniff. It probably hit me so hard that I was dazed ;-)
Now we are inseparable. Whiskey, bergamot, rose, and a slightly berry-sweet note combined with the ginger (which probably confused me) are truly outstanding!
Very, very impressive for a "replica." It doesn't fall short of the original in any way but is not as expensive. A real alternative, wow!

I find it much better than Baraonda. Spicy touch and not as sticky candy-sweet as Baraonda. Whisky and rose clearly noticeable. Great!

Single-malt whisky, with a very fine smoke and fruit, prost-cheers. The best twin scent from Nasomatto Baraonda with very good H&S top.

Honestly - it doesn't fall short of Baraonda at all.
It only lacks a bit of depth.
But for the price, it's just a top perfume.

Baraonda at a discount price.
You can debate Dua's philosophy. But they sure can replicate niche scents!

Whiskey, rum, wood, amber, smoke, all wrapped in a classy suit at a party.
For me, it's a dreamy scent for colder days.

Top note wonderfully soft and invigorating. Heart note creates a delicious, harmonious transition to the balsamic, soft cuddle wood.*

Reminds me strikingly of Angelic Elixir, just a bit more "grimy." For me, it's not a 10, but a 12. The Baraonda will be ordered now...

The opening is very strong. Whisky in an original wooden cask. After 10-15 minutes, only the wooden cask remains where the whisky rested for a long time. Genius!!

Baraonda was a role model, but the sweetness has been reduced and the woody note intensified. An absolutely well-rounded bar scent for the gentleman!

Harsh, dusty opening, but it gets much better in the drydown. It’s like smelling a whiskey barrel. H/S very strong.
