Masculine-leaning Unisex Caramel, but Not Exactly Gourmand
Here is the thing, looking at the notes, someone would expect a sweet gourmand scent with a twist because of the oud and the saffron, but isn't as sweet or as gourmand as someone would have expected.

The caramel is there, I can smell it and it's actually very realistic, but the oud and the saffron give a quite strong leathery, metallic note, that is definitely not something that you would want to eat. I found this perfume very interesting, not bad, but it wasn't what I expected either. Many times gourmands tend to be more female-leaning, even when unisex, but this one it's not, the leathery, metallic, and slightly spicy caramel, makes it more masculine, and funnily enough, the most positive reviews I have seen are from men.

Leather and Spice
Caramel Oud is a leather focused fragrance. It opens up front and center with a huge blast of leather, metal and and a kitchen sink spice accord. Is it cumin? Hmmmm. Interesting. It also has a slightly bitter presence at the top. Surprisingly, there is also no OUD permeating in this fragrance. Now, the sweetness peaks in as it dries down. I was expecting a gourmand fragrance but so far this is more masculine leaning with that leathery dominance. It also has a Middle Easternish feel as it settles in. Honestly, this may be challenging for some. So far, it’s a like.

High hopes crushed
I really do not like this fragrance. It smells like an expired toffee syrup poured over batteries. The notes sound amazing but all I’m getting is heavy overpowering liquor smell like smelling baking extract right from the bottle. On my skin it also got very sour. I’m a gourmand lover and had such high hopes that were crushed by this scent. The dry down smells like rotting wood.

Fruit tea with a hint of caramel
My nose was confused when I first sprayed it. It smelled deliciously of caramel, but there was a scent mixed in that made me think of a mixture of tea store and slightly rotten fruit. Fortunately, the sour note disappeared after a few minutes.
To me, Caramel Oud smells like spicy but not pungent rich fruit tea with a full-bodied note.
The scent is cozy and cuddly, but for me it could be more caramel. Sweet but not overwhelming, in my opinion rather for colder days.
As the fragrance progresses, it becomes spicier and more down-to-earth and goes even more in the typical unisex direction.

Oh yes, I like you!
Caramel Oud certainly knows how to convince me. Fruity sweetness from what feels like ripe fruit with a great saffron spice and a lovely caramel character.

For me, the fragrance starts directly with
these impressions of very ripe fruit and caramel. This great soft saffron spice is added relatively quickly. All in all, the combination smells a little like certain stalls at the Christmas market. Regardless of my personal impression, my girlfriend also had an association with a Christmas market without knowing which fragrance I had sprayed on and without knowing what I thought of the fragrance
Admittedly, you can't really smell the listed oud.
I actually have the slight feeling of something woody in the background, but it's really only very subtle. It is barely perceptible.

It becomes sweeter and sweeter over time. The longer the fragrance lingers on the skin, the more this delicious gourmand impression develops.
Whereby the gourmand impression is already there at the beginning.
However, the fruitiness recedes somewhat or completely towards the end and the caramel and toffee theme remains.
