Pear Apolo-gelato-ist
The 5 notes listed are somewhat distinct. In some ways this isn't a gourmand, so much as it's a deconstructed gourmand fragrance. It's reminiscent of food, but doesn't feel edible to me.

I smelled this at Scent Bar a few months ago and got a sample. Unfortunately, I spilled it while hurriedly transferring it to a spray container. I sopped it up with a microfiber cloth and kept smelling it every few days. When fabric absorbs fragrance, I find it freezes at the opening and I enjoy the opening of this so much. Despite my best efforts to make myself hate this, I picked up a bottle and I love it so far.

The fragrance opens with an icy pear (I've seen other reviews describing it as cool/icy and I agree) and sweet vanilla. They feel very separate, like you're standing between a BaBW and a gelato shop. The pear is synthetic and not photorealistic imo. It's kind of uncanny, but I love it. The pear in the opening smells almost identical to a soap that my mother-in-law uses (I don't know the brand). At this phase, it's not really giving the impression of pear gelato.

It might seem linear on paper, but it does evolve, even if I mostly get the same notes throughout. Eventually the pear and vanilla get a bit softer and more fluffy. The vanilla gets more sugary. As they slip out of focus, I smell something like a scoop of pear sorbet on -or next to- a waffle cone. The pear isn't lactonic, but the waffle cone is and feels more photorealistic. It's like you applied the synthetic pear fragrance you smelled outside BaBW, and walked into the gelato shop.

The dry down for me is mostly vanilla. Somehow it almost has an animalic quality. I don't know how edgy vanilla makes sense, but it feels that way without smelling like Vanilla Vice, which I'd categorize as more "allegedly" vanilla. The drydown feels pretty eternal to me, like a shower is needed to wash it off.

I enjoy it so much, but I have intrusive thoughts that it's uninteresting and not worthy of being a signature scent. It's shampooey at times and pretty synthetic throughout, but it's so pleasant. Assuming it doesn't offend anyone as I wear it more, I think one spray of this under my shirt is a recipe for a good day. Maybe I could get this same effect by mixing pear and vanilla body sprays for less money, and maybe if I already had an established vanilla scent in my collection it wouldn't be worth it, but considering how much I like this and the reasonable price, I don't regret this purchase at all.

sickeningly sweet
sickeningly sweet and unintelligible. If I didn’t know there was pear in here I would’ve never guessed it was the fruit of choice here; I also get no gelato or ice cream esque vibes here, if anything I would guess marshallow. Just a screechy and badly executed gourmand which from this brand rarely happens

Juvenile and not in a fun way
Pear Gelato: I was beyond excited for a sample of this, but it was gravely disappointing. The name is misleading, instead of a refreshing or tart pear note, I get the distinct smell of a melted green apple jolly rancher on top of a cloying vanilla. It's important to note that there is no cream in the vanilla, there is no milkiness, it is just a one dimensional, sugary vanilla base. First sniff is like snorting a bag full of sugar – nauseating. Even when it dries down, the jolly rancher gets lost, but the overly sweet sugar remains.

I would not purchase this. Gourmands rarely impress me, but this was still such a letdown considering the sheer amount of praise it gets.

A negative factor for beginners to buy this perfume is....
First of all, it is very buttery and oily. Fortunately, the top note does not last long and the buttery note fades away after 5 minute and the waffle-like note comes to mind later and then the pear-like note gradually begins.

In fact, I can describe the olfactory pyramid of this perfume like this:
Top note: buttery and oily
Middle note: waffle and biscuit-like
Base note: pear

The top note of the perfume is unfortunately not well done at all and for the average consumer who buys perfumes in most cases based on the feeling they get from the top note of the perfume; it is considered a complete negative point.
The top note of this perfume is exactly like another perfume from this brand, Creme Brûlée, and I wonder why they have worked so harsh on the top note of these perfumes, which is very important in selling, in these two perfumes.

But if we ignore that initial note; in my opinion, it is a lovely gourmand perfume.

perfect gourmand
im not a gourmand fan as my tastes have developed but pear gelato...you are that girl everyone said you were its SO good. first spray is a BLAST of an almost carmelized sugar scent imo, but it quickly settles and becomes softer and richer like when your waffle cone gets sticky and drenched in ice cream. kinda the perfect gourmand for my tastes because i hate feeling like im being stabbed in the sensory glands with vanilla pods but this rlly has such a cool airy feel to it for me god bless. love.

Extremely synthetic pear with creamy vanilla. Nothing special. Pear note smells cheap & borderline offensive. Again: Overhyped & overpriced.

Caramel-drizzled vanilla yogurt + candied pear opening, with pear skin + waffle cone dry-down. Close to BBW Pear Creme Brulee.

Not very projecting nor durable, but willing to reapply because when I smell it I am taken back to my grandma peeling me a conferencia pear. Cute!
