Zimaya has some hidden gems

I picked this up after getting Abadi Opulent. This did not disappoint at all. It’s my new favorite Aventus type DNA in my collection. Very sweet and fresh with a touch of spice. It really has this cola vibe which I love. The performance could be better but for the price it’s well worth it. I still get a solid 5-6 hours. The quality of the scent and presentation is way above this price point. I’m very impressed with everything I picked up from Zimaya so far. I highly recommend Abadi Opulent, Inekas Luna, Ramsh Imperium and Al Barari Coral on the way.

Transparent Aventus + Berry Iced Tea

After I was able to test the Creed Aventus Absolu at my local perfumery, I was immediately thrilled. The typical Aventus DNA was there - fresh, masculine, elegant - but it was complemented by a new depth that made the fragrance special. Not just the classic, but a distinct evolution. In search of a more affordable alternative, I stumbled upon this scent. Ordered blind - at that price, I thought you couldn't go wrong.

Packaging & Bottle

When the package arrived, the first impression was definitely positive. The packaging is, as one would expect from many alternative brands, quite striking and opulently designed. The bottle itself feels high-quality: solid glass, a metal frame, a metal cap - it all feels sturdy. The spray head is also well made. Not luxurious, but functional and reliable. Overall, a well-rounded picture that is clearly above what one would expect in this price range.

Scent & Impression

During the first test, I was a bit unsure - I had sprayed it in the car at over 30 degrees Celsius outside. The scent seemed flat, almost invisible. In hindsight, probably not a good idea to test it in the heat right after another fragrance. The next day came the second attempt - this time without a previous scent, under normal conditions. And there it was: fresh, clear, elegant. It immediately became apparent that this fragrance is different from many Aventus dupes.

What Makes It Special

It feels lighter, airier, not as dense or intense as the Aventus Absolue. And that’s a good thing. It’s not loud, not intrusive, but remains discreet in the background and unfolds gradually. What really makes it special: The combination of clove and blackcurrant gives it a fruity-spicy berry iced tea note that blends wonderfully with the Aventus base. No pineapple like in the classic - and that’s exactly what sets it apart from many imitations. It’s more of a modern, elegant interpretation, not a 1:1 copy.

Wearing Experience

The scent remains consistent on the skin throughout the day. It hardly changes, but is always slightly perceptible. It’s not a fragrance that fills the room - but one that you notice in conversations or encounters. And that’s what makes it so wearable. My surroundings reacted positively; my buddy spontaneously said I smelled “like I just showered” - and that’s definitely a compliment.

Conclusion

For me, this is not just a mere dupe, but a real alternative with its own character. It clearly orients itself to Aventus but goes its own way - lighter, more modern, suitable for everyday wear. Perfect for anyone looking for something in this direction but doesn’t want to wear the usual. And it’s also a fragrance that hardly anyone knows - ideal as a signature scent with recognition value. Price-wise, it’s a no-brainer.
