Better le male elixir

Lattafa have done it again, this is more tolerable than le male elixir due to the less sweet and more spicy/aromatic nature of this fragrance, it's still a close clone but I prefer this over the original. Longevity is about 8-10 hours with really good projection day 1 no maceration/maturation.

After you first spray, it will be pretty close to le male elixir, once it starts to dry down the more aromatic side immediately becomes noticeable. This is a great fragrance for almost any situation and a daily wear due to its low price tag. Unfortunately, le male elixir did get extremely hyped on TikTok and I know a lot of students with either le male elixir or le Beau le parfum so this isn't as unique as I would want it to be but who really cares, rarely anyone wears cologne anyway so rock this all you want 24/7 everyday

Why the hype?

It will be hard not to like it, but I personally don't think it deserves the hype. Mainly vanilla and lavender, with a hint of mint. Nothing groundbreaking, but won't be offensive to anyone either. I usually don't blind buy, and this was second blind (in a collection of over 50). I do not regret it, and won't sell it, at it's okay, but I will also not buy it again, as it's kind of boring and unimaginative. I had it for 4 weeks now, and the performance isn't great. Low projection and average to above average longevity. For the price ($23), it's a safe buy for most people... Just overspray a little.

Never tried the OG, so can't really comment if it's close or not.

I expected more

A blind buy that I regret. It’s very heavy, sweet and almost suffocating to me.
It’s not bad, albeit a bit synthetic, but it’s a scent that I get bored of very quickly and I just want to scrub it off after 2 hours. The scent profile is that of any other mainstream date night fragrance; but nothing that makes it to stand out.

I do get the jasmine, mint and orange blossom in the opening which is very nice and fresh, but after 10 minutes it gets way to heavy for my taste and also becomes very linear with hardly any changes.

I do understand why people like this fragrance but it’s not for me. For the same reasons classics like One Million or Versace Eros aren’t for me.

Longevity, projection and silage are great. It will last you the whole day. Be careful not to overspray though or you will suffocate every person in the room.

Fun fact: in the air and on a test strip it smells better than on my skin…

Maceration changed it unfortunately!

When I first bought this perfume, I was very satisfied and it was similar to Jean Paul Gaultier Le-Male-Elixir. But this year, when the weather got colder, I came to wear this perfume again; I really don't liked it. The smell changed to a perfume like Altair by Perfume de Marley and also Liquid Brown by French Avenue.
I am surprised that why the smell changed by maceration. I keep this perfume in dark and cold place, but the smell was changed.

The Kingdom - Dethroning the OG

The Kingdom was good until it wasn't. I bought it because of the price and similarities to Le Male Elixir (in School of Scents' words, "This made the OG redundant"), and I wore the hell out of it until one day, I just grew tired of it. Gave it away after a couple of months when I received a very good deal to buy the Le Male Le Parfum (the best Le Male flanker imo).

If you are on a budget and you love the Le Male DNA, this will be great for you. It's sweet, loud, definitely a mass-appealing fragrance, and honestly, although I like to think I have a good nose, I can't really tell the differences in terms of quality between The Kingdom and Le Male Elixir.
