Caribbean Islands and a Pina Colada

When I think of this fragrance.. it reminds me of... A beautiful Caribbean island... I’m lying on a sunbed on the beach.. surrounded by lots of palm trees, all laden with coconuts... the sea is crashing, and I have a Pina Colada in my hand.. which I sip enjoyably, and for dessert, there’s a delicious vanilla pudding with caramel syrup.... That’s exactly how I imagine the scent of Zimaya Anhaar Dune... It starts off so beautifully caramel vanilla and smells so deliciously sweet.. that it brings all of this to mind.

Toffee turns into coconut

In the opening, I unfortunately did not like Anhaar Dune at all, too much caramel, so much that I felt like I had applied body butter with a test sprayer. It was a timid sprayer! Somehow, I also perceived an ambered buttery note. Zero resemblance to Vanilla Powder Eau de Parfum, who came up with this idea. Then came the musk, which is actually listed in the DD with amber. After a quarter of an hour rollercoaster ride of my olfactory feelings... I smell a really beautiful coconut sunscreen note! A hint of lemon. Unfortunately, the scent is somehow too much of everything for me. The coconut can't save anything anymore. By now, I have moved away from the idea of giving the scent a second chance. It has to please me on the first sniff. It had to move on.

Such a great scent

I received a sample and I'm blown away. My first impression was somehow fruity; I thought of apricot, peach, or apricots and sweet vanilla. But I wouldn't have thought of the combination of lemon and caramel. Then the coconut comes through, and the vanilla remains constant. A sweet, warm scent that makes you crave summer. The longevity is good; I really like the scent, and it will soon be a staple. In the end, it leaves coconut, caramel, and vanilla, very delicious.
