Smoke in my face, me, myself and I bathrobe, Calvin Klein's..
Somehow I always have to think of the line of the above song with this fragrance (no idea why)?!

Who knows my reviews to the house Ugolini's, will know that I find this actually EXTREMELY overrated and also piecewise overpriced (for what comes out).

However, this fragrance is different.

Starting in the top notes, I get some mint and the beautiful rose geranium. This is supported quite briskly afterwards by the floral, creamy notes (without now the rose, iris or the jasmine specifically rausfilter zu können) and I also imagine that also something very light, fresh resonates (possibly the ozonische notes)?!

The fragrance remains (at least on my skin) throughout this stadium, but becomes a little creamier through the musk, but without losing its freshness and florality.

It reminds me a bit of a "clean man fragrance", which, however, has very strong character of its own, because it does not go into this typically sweet, exaggerated musk-like, which we already had dozens of times before the shotgun (a happiness).

I think you get here for your money a very pleasant, portable fragrance, which is to be used for pretty much any situation and passes loosely as a signature scent and brings a certain luxurious side with it.

Quote from my partner: "you smell like freshly showered in a luxury hotel"

I can really 1:1 so sign, therefore probably also the allusion to the above line from a Shindy song.

The slightly different hairdresser's visit?!
Who doesn't know it... you look at your wish list(s) and it itches in your fingers to place a new order with new samples soon. As in my case. This time I was again on ALZD "rumbutschern". The shopping cart was already quite well filled, but suddenly this one fragrance with the "funny" name comes to my face.

BURNING BARBERSHOP???

Surely this is some weird "fragrance artistry" again to have created something fancy!!!!

However, I have just tried my first barbershop or fougére scents.

Including, among other things, THE masterpiece "Invasion Barbare | Parfums MDCI" as well as the price-performance cracker "Beau de Jour (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford".

In contrast, this sample will certainly "go up in smoke"...

Well, suitable for the weekend so my package arrives and as it happens, I take me so the random / spontaneously purchased sample as the first and am curious what awaits me.

The Opening:

The fragrance starts very fresh and tangy, especially by the lime and green mint. Through the hemlock joins a minimal green note to it, but really only very subtle.

The middle of the fragrance pyramid:

Unfortunately, I take the lavender was not quite as strong again bspw. in one of the above barbershop fragrances, but at least this is present. The rose I must honestly confess, emerges with me in no way, is mMn but anything but tragic.

The base notes and the drydown:

Quite classically, one could now claim / note that now only a smoky note joins the previous components dazugesellt. That is in itself also correct, since I would not necessarily claim to smell burnt oil, hay or a certain sweetness by the vanilla. It is just a smoky note, which gives the whole a completely different "twist".

Conclusion:

For me, this fragrance is one of the most exciting and at the same time most exciting fragrances in my collection. How do you please come up with the idea to combine the fresh and green notes from the top note with a classic note like lavender in the middle to round this off again with a smoky note and thus the complete opposite in the base?!?!!?!

This fragrance is an absolute masterpiece and deserves much more attention in my opinion. I have not smelled this composition so yet and is just extremely extraordinary.

I would recommend this fragrance almost as an everyday signature scent. The only drawback could be for the people and environment at most the smoky note in the base, which of course does not bother me personally at all

"A lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town."
This saying, this quote was from Marv AKA Mickey Rourke from the movie Sin City (Part 1).

For some reason, when I first tested this perfume, I immediately thought of this movie and the character associated with it.

A typical bad boy, somewhat unkempt, edgy, striking, leather coat guy, smoker, flamboyant. A guy to be reckoned with, a true one of a kind!

This fragrance exudes confidence and at the same time he does not care whether other people like him or not. No typical mainstream fragrance, which should inspire the masses, but only the wearer himself!

--------------------

The fragrance as such start directly with a strong but dreamlike tobacco note, which is accompanied by incense. This incense is perfectly balanced and thus not too intrusive or "churchy". Woody undertones also come out and round out the tobacco as well as the incense to create a masterpiece. The blood orange doesn't come through directly for me, but certainly plays a certain part in the fragrance development subordinately. In the further course of the fragrance gets both by the spices and the vanilla a pleasant sweetness, which is very, very discreetly in the background.

I had within the first minutes immediately think of "Tobacco Oud | Tom Ford", that much is certain.

However, not in the way that I thought it was some sort of dupe, but more like it was a brother or cousin. Both are very unique in their own ways in my opinion, but play in the same fragrance league as they have similar traits and characteristics.

Which of the two is now better or worse, I can not and would not presume to say, as I find both incredibly beautiful and have a great dark note with masses of depth.

This fragrance I would actually recommend for autumn and winter and rather for outside. On really cold days certainly also during the day on a nice walk through the woods, but also ideally in the evening in a bar.

Such a fragrance to wear at my meeting should probably be too much for the rest of the people around you, even if you would probably have a lot of self-confidence in your own luggage with it

Childhood memories of the heroes from their own family..
Moin moin dear Parfumos,

do you know this too? There is this one fragrance, which reminds you of something very special from your childhood?
In my case, it is clearly this one. He reminds me of my father and my uncle.

Both seasoned men, strong, protective nature and both my heroes that I always looked up to. Whether it was the first soccer games in the backyard, the first time sitting on their laps in the car, sitting on their shoulders at an event as if looking down on the world from on high. It's just a little bit of everything. A very carefree and wonderful time!

And I know it for a fact, you all have such or similar experiences that you can remember and like to do so.

Exactly these memories are precious, make us, have and shaped and are in a way priceless.

--------------------

To the fragrance:

Of course, the BDC perfume does not reach after the above memories, however, exactly this DNA reminds me of my childhood heroes.

Not because both are or were particularly strong or the like, but because this kind let me remember so many wonderful situations with the two, who knows for what reasons, but it is so. Must be because of the oldschool touch that the fragrance brings with it.

With the two listed fragrances, however, I can do in reality so nothing. I have smelled neither real cedar or real sandalwood as Attar.

What I can say, however, is that this fragrance has a very classic and partly mainstream DNA. Personally, I also take a blue note from the fragrance, but not in the aquatic sense. Apart from that, the fragrance is already woody, but also has this typically masculine and light "old man DNA", which is also found in other forms, for example, in "Acqua di Giò Profumo (Parfum) | Giorgio Armani". Similar to many designer fragrances, this one is also relatively linear and does not change various times from the head to the base.

In conclusion, it can be said that this fragrance is a wonderful dream journey with very many beautiful memories of my childhood, whereby I will probably always have this perfume in my collection.

PS: this fragrance is a typical all-rounder and is suitable for pretty much every season and every situation.

Between YouTube recommendations, misconceptions, and some marketing...
At the risk that I get here an "unhelpful review" or the like, I would like to note in advance once that it does not matter to me here to represent a fragrance (particularly) bad or to doubt its quality, etc.. Not that someone feels here at the end on the known slip.

But the fact is definitely that the good Naxos and I will never be the best of friends... but what is that exactly?

The fragrance actually starts off very nicely citrusy. Not fresh, more into a kind of lemon cake and is accompanied undertone by the lavender. Up to here everything in order and very elegant/well-being.

Shortly thereafter, however, bangs one (at least in my opinion) the sticky / oversweet honey so so violently around the ears that one is literally slain.

Maybe it's just because I don't like honey?

I almost argue no...

Because it is at this point that I would like to return to my subject line.

Listed in the base is one of my favorite notes, if not THE favorite note in fragrances, which is tobacco.

Unfortunately, I wait in vain to this day for this to kick in in any form. Neither on my skin, nor on a test strip emerge according to my sensation tobacco in the course.

Since I got me on the basis of felt 10,000 + review / recommendations on YouTube a bottling, in which simply all people do not ONLY talk about the honey, but have especially emphasized the beautiful tobacco, I was after receiving my sample accordingly disappointed!

Naxos is for me in the end rather a VERY VERY VERY SWEET honey scent, which is accompanied by a actually very nice and unusual lemon. Is becomes through the vanilla and the tonka bean in the base in the long run in my opinion rather even sweeter, whereby I would definitely not call this fragrance a tobacco fragrance or even in this category.

When talking about a tobacco fragrance, I think of something like "Tobacco Oud | Tom Ford" , "Broken Theories | Kerosene" , "Atman Xaman (Eau de Parfum) | Lorenzo Villoresi"!

These fragrances fulfill this stereotype perfectly as they bring something dark, mystical and also slightly dirty.

Naxos does this mMn in no way!

The quality behind it is certainly very good and also the durability, sillage as well as the flacon are 1A.

So who is looking for an elegant, but very sweet fragrance for the evening, will be perfectly happy here.

Is perfect for the fall, as well as winter. However, see this at least in combination with a shirt / polo shirt.

In the end, however, that is in the eye of the beholder
