Someone upstairs is frying freshwater fish, so now the whole apartment building smells like rotting mud and decay. Chiming in with Dans le bleu qui pétille to complete this composition.

Hearing a lot of buzz about some of the newer Miss Dior releases has made me remember I need to spend some more time with my favorite of the older releases, so today I'm wearing Miss Dior Le Parfum

Testing All of Me Floral. I try not to judge perfumes by their bottles, but sometimes what the bottle's design is saying - is exactly what you'll get. Ah well.

Relique d'Amour (2012)

Becoming a bit obsessed with yellow florals and the lily here starts to scratch that itch—though I don’t consider it typically yellow. Still, it is reliably beautiful and an office friendly floral thanks to the gravitas of pine, stone, and woods.

I have samples of Vouloir être ailleurs. C.G., Déjà le Printemps, and Rain Cloud that I am exploring. I think I am drawn to a combination of yellow floral and greenish fresh hay/grass and humidity. I can’t say any of these is precisely “the one” but each is excellent in their own right.

Vouloir être ailleurs. C.G. has the buttery, golden yellow quality through a delicate balance of linden, acacia, and hay. It’s excellent. Leaning a little too pretty if I am honest, but undeniably good. Sampling this at the wrist to see where it takes me.

Déjà le Printemps is drier and more complex with mint and chamomile. It shares some loamy-earth qualities with "Chypre Mousse (2013) | Oriza L. Legrand.” Captivating but I’m not sold on the base notes.

Rain Cloud is wonderfully humid and thick with florals. But a tad too sweet. Will need to revisit.

This morning was such a chaotic morning that I completely forgot to put on perfume (I know, this is an absolute travesty.) Got all the way to work before I realized. Thankfully, I keep ol' faithful, Sultry - Wild Musk Perfume Oil in my purse for such a time as this! It's so good, that it makes me happy that I forgot to wear anything else!
