I don't drink coffee, but I really like the smell of coffee, so I'm always on the lookout when a coffee fragrance comes onto the market My absolute favorite is the
Coffee Addict, I would have hoped that the "Caffé Latte | Khadlaj / خدلج" would smell similar, but I was surprised by what I got here.
Because the first thing I smelled was liquorice.
I read through the notes and licorice is not listed here at all.
The only way I can explain it is that the interplay of different notes smells like liquorice to me.
I also clearly perceive coffee, but this "liquorice" is simply much more prominent for me.
At first I didn't really know whether it was good or bad.
I was kind of hoping for sweet cappuccino, but I wasn't expecting anything that smelled like liquorice.
But later on, the scent becomes more and more pleasant.
It becomes a little lactonic, you can easily smell the vanilla, the coffee is also there somewhere, even if it's not entirely realistic.
Ice cream and almond cream can perhaps be guessed with a little imagination, but that's about it.
For me it's a salty, sweet mix of licorice, a little caramel, a little vanilla and coffee, a little lactonic, nice and creamy, all in all I kind of like it.
But I still think that some people will expect something totally different, like with
Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee, and that sooner or later the fragrance will get a bad rating.
Does the scent remind me of anything? In fact, I've never smelled anything like it before.
It reminds me very slightly of
Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee, but really only slightly.
It has a little bit of "Eclaire / اكلاير | Lattafa / لطافة" and a little bit of
Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee, but on the whole it is a completely independent fragrance in my opinion.
With sweet fragrances, you always expect a strong performance.
Here, the durability and the radiance/sillage are rather moderate.
Would have expected more, but as always with Arabian fragrances, you should let them mature.
Unisex? Or too feminine after all? I think it's perfectly unisex, some people who have
Ombre Nomade as a signature will probably rate it as feminine, but I would say 60%W/M40%
Perfect for young and old, for cuddling, as well as for the office and rather something for the colder season.
