When the son Paul-Louis moved the company to Geneva in 1937, he could already count on a top-class clientele. His son also maintained the level despite all the difficulties caused by the war. In 1963, the company was passed on to the Scheufele watchmaking dynasty, marking the next step in the family tradition. But it was an ingenious design idea that made Chopard legendary: familiar with the processing of highly exquisite materials, diamonds played a decisive role - and especially where they appeared free-floating in the enclosure of the dial as dazzling objects. Since the first timepiece of this kind, in 1976, this has been Chopard's distinguishing feature, both in its artistic watches and its fine jewelry. Design power, luxury, plus a sense of social responsibility and environmental awareness, all determine the entire program, right down to accessories and fragrances. The first perfume, "Casimir", has been announcing the opulence of the Orient with its scent since 1992. But the famous "Red Carpet" is dedicated to all those who love roses.
