Animalixic apple
I had recently ordered "Animalix" by Aaron Terence Hughes. In addition, I got two samples of "Daddy" and "Homme". Both I found very interesting from the beginning. But, it's already been mentioned here, you have to be careful. His scents are extremely potent. Even the tiniest sample should be enough to wear two or three times.

The beginning of "Daddy" is very fruity and a bit creamy. I'm not too big of a fan of fruity scents. But the apple is very well done. At this point, "Daddy" can be described as gourmand.

As time goes on, though, things get wilder. The oud comes out quite well, I think, but is comparatively tame. The spiciness of the nutmeg is noticeable, but not overpowering.

But there's something else. Something I'm already familiar with. I mentioned "Animalix" above. This fragrance is not meant to be worn on its own, but to be layered with other perfumes. I'm very sure there's Animalix in here, because occasionally a strong waft of it comes to my nose. Maybe it's used to simulate the skin accord. Anyway, the mixture is special, but in my opinion very successful

Harder, Daddy!
...I called out to my father as we drove the tractor into the fields on a sunny Saturday morning to see if the apple trees were already ready for harvest.

He got off the old rusty red tractor with the leather seat frayed on the side and walked around the trees.... With a scrutinizing eye he looked at the splendor of the tree and sat back down on his vehicle to do a little shaking to bring the fruit down.

Nothing happened, not an apple on the beautiful majestic old tree moved from the spot.

Harder Daddy!!! shouted I at him.... Again!

The leaves rustled in the light summer breeze and a raven flew over our heads, but not a single apple saw itself able to fall to the ground.

Too bad, we will have to wait a little longer, father said. They are probably not quite ripe yet...

And so it is here with this fragrance. Just not ripe.

The expectation after some failed counterparts in vain again risen to the top after I heard, there is apple in it, would be smashed again.

A lukewarm spicy fresh, fogged with sweet nuance floating breeze, which neither the prophecy Beastmode, nor the fitness possesses to offer me the forehead would dahergehyped.

The sprayers went on the skin, the paper tester, on the T-shirt.

Sorry but even after two hours this is not a celebration.

To all of you who are cursing me now.... xD

No I'm serious. I hope the rest of the scents have more potential.

On that note...

just too bad
With the use of such great raw materials and a promising pyramid, the synthetic apple unfortunately outweighs everything.
Such a delicious base and a great concept as a fragrance which really has potential, is here simply crushed by a far too sweet pappigen fruit note.
So it goes to me with many ATH fragrances.
It often adds something that makes me dislike the scent. Often something too sweet, fruity.
But here really most inappropriate.
Grade with the name, would have been something pithy masculine to expect. Smoky, spicy, woody, resinous... Unfortunately, no or covered

Masculine and beautiful
My absolute favorite fragrance. I love the soft apple in the opening. It lasts forever and smells incredible. I smell it on clothes until they’re washed. To me this is masculine and sexy. Be careful with the sprays though because you can possibly overpower a room with too many. I use about 5 and that seems great. I don’t like to wear this when the temperature is warm, definitely a cooler weather fragrance for me.

You could wear it dressed up or down. I love wearing it on fall and winter days with a hoodie because it’s so comforting.

Definitely have “Daddy issues” for this fragrance!!

Not my style
Personally, I think this one is dreadful. Too cloying, too synthetic, too sickeningly sweet. It comes across as an ambrox bomb. When I used to work as a fragrance salesman, I had to spend all of my day dealing with nuclear powered blue fragrances. Yes, I’m looking at you, Sauvage. This fragrance took me right back to those days. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m biased, I’ve never been a fan of ‘blue’ fragrances, and while this one may not officially meet that category, it certainly does to my nose. To put it bluntly, this is a fragrance I’d LOVE to smell on somebody else, but not one I’d want to wear all day. Wearing this for a few hours makes me want to go home and wash it off. Smells great on my clothes, though!

Personally, if you’re a younger man with a lot of confidence, this fragrance will work for you and set you apart. It has the same youthful energy that the likes of Sauvage do, but it’s so much more refined and unique, not to mention statement making.

Took about 3 wearings to understand what a sensual, masculine, velvety masterpiece this is. Dash of freshness, slight chocolate oud boss. Addiction

The opening is sweet and fruity, a bit bubblegummy. I get also patchouly. Then the soft oud, nutmeg, and tonka form a creamy cozy drydown.
