Woody cleanliness

If I had to write a sentence about the fragrance then I would say the fragrance is for me a freshly polished log, on which a white tablecloth on which various citrus fruits are presented. If I had seen the reviews on this before buying, I would never have bought / tested the fragrance. Fortunately, I got it as a gift. The scent may not be blatantly striking, extra, special or whatever. But very pleasant woody, fresh. Clean triffts best.
Just because a fragrance is not blatantly different from the great mass, it does not have to be bad or smell below average. The fragrance is for me at least a solid 8, H/S are for me average to settle.
He also has strangely only here a 6/10 and otherwise on other perfume portals everywhere average 4/5 rating.

The discreet all-rounder for the office

The Aigner fragrances always leave mih undecided. I do not know every time whether I like the fragrance now, or whether I find him too bland...

They have all been good so far. All pleasant fragrances, but all lack that certain something, the individuality....

So also No.1. I have now tested it twice on paper strips and once on the skin:

He starts pleasantly discreet spicy-woody and fresh.......and remains so, only loses freshness in the course. Smoke or leather would have done well in it ....

Because of the weak silage, you should double dose it. At the comparatively low price, however, that is quite veretbar.

An all-rounder for the Ü30 for the whole year. By its very discreet masculinity, he is, for example, a good office fragrance. He is self-confident and yet restrained, knows what he has and that he does not need to stand out.

He is not particularly exciting and, at least on me, not particularly long lasting. But, as "S.Oliver men" in the summer, I could imagine this one in the winter half-year occasionally as a change in the office, or to other occasions where discreetness is angbracht, to wear.

As a representative of the discreet men's fragrance in the fragrance cabinet, it is very suitable!

Surprising underdog

Of course, Christmas shopping also includes a visit to a fragrance retailer. What's new, what's out, etc. "Maybe I'll get a new one and something cheap for everyday life" was my thought. One right and one left wrist each and out of the shop-breathe deeply and wait for the heart and the base. BÄHM there was the 12.95 Euro surprise on the right hand, while Issey Miyake tried to play himself from the left into the foreground. In vain, my friend! And therefore now my first comment.

The bergamot and pepper make the fragrance more sporty than it is in the heart and that's a good thing. But that also brings the surprise after about five to ten minutes, when the heart and base gradually assert themselves. A quite harmonious play which changes between aromatic and oriental chords back and forth, depending on whether it is colder or warmer. So I can well imagine that it works very well as a signature all year round. No compliments yet, since he moved in yesterday... Let's wait and see
The durability also surprised me a lot, because I still had it on my skin this morning, of course very withdrawn but then quietly. And that's exactly what I like about him: unobtrusive without much ballyhoo, quietly masculine. Not a fragrance for proles, but guys who have arrived.

I'm really looking forward to reaching the Aigner Oud, which comes off quite positively here

Metamorphosis in a different way

What fantastic fragrances had Aigner brought to the market in the last century? They found their way into me in numerous versions, be it the legendary Silver, a womanizer par excellence, then the Free Life, which for those times was courageous and almost rebellious, and last but not least the Super Fragrance, which for me was everything. All hired, which is a shame. Also number 1 had gotten a place over my washbasin for the daily use at that time and all the more surprised I was in the end, when I saw it again, almost shyly hidden, standing in a shelf. Such deja vu's scream of course almost to be tested.

After the disastrous result of the reformulated Trussardi uomo, however, my expectations of remakes sank to near zero, so it was actually easy for the Aigner N 1 to surprise positively here.

First impression: The original was darker, wasn't it? Actually, researched at home, yes, the original came along darker and as so often, the colour plays a not inconsiderable role. Because where the original started fresh and spicy, thanks to bergamot and pepper, the remake leaves something to be desired without me being able to say exactly why.

Second impression: fragrance development. Also here I liked the original - and I can still remember it better because of my excessive consumption at that time. It came woodier around the curve and the combination of finely dosed patchouli with Vetiver notes was simply great. The new one finds it difficult to set striking notes here, seems to me somehow "softer", more insignificant, more arbitrary. And the end resembles the previous idea. Where a combination of leather and moss then let the scent fade away, today it seems to me to be synthestically smoky. The bottom line is disappointing. Had I expected too much once more?

Third impression: Performance. Sprayed in the morning of the 80s, still noticed in the evening. Today: tested in the shop, three hours later, ehhhhh, hello, anyone else there? Shelf life weak, Sillage, well, what can I say, which Sillage? The bottle alone leaves a certain reminiscence of the good old days.

And so for me personally at the end of the day there is another remake in the room which I consider to have failed. A successful metamorphosis is an evolutionary adaptation to the current time and circumstances. Not executed here, I'm afraid. Too bad. Because in this way (but at least at least that) only the memory of once great litters of a great brand remains.
