worth the trip

In the Rossi brochure, I discovered Pour Femme at a sensationally low price.

So far, the Aigner fragrances have not disappointed me - especially Private Number is my go-to - and so I set off on the journey to the city.

A good friend joins me - which is pleasant, as he has "tasteful" Italian genes.

And while sampling at the perfume counter, we nod to each other.
The leather note is quite pronounced, but it is not a Bavarian leather jacket - rather, it resembles fine kidskin gloves.
The mandarin appears aquatic and the dew cools the fruits.
Very interesting and appealing - and not something I've smelled a hundred times before.
The almond is creamy, sweetened by the apricot.
The woods are also soft and pliable - subtly drizzled with patchouli.

My Italian companion wholeheartedly recommends the purchase to me - which reconciles me, as my previous acquisition, the long-desired Poison Girl EdP, did not resonate with him at all.

But Pour Femme was indeed worth the trip for him.

Sweet yet not heavy....

I have thought for a long time about which fragrance I should dedicate my very first comment here....it became Etienne Eigner Femme. I just acquired it and it was a blind purchase. I rarely do that, as the risk of not liking it is quite high in my opinion, but I wanted to take the plunge this time, though I’m not exactly sure why. To begin with, I am not a fan of sweet, heavy fragrances; I prefer woody, spicy scents, and I wear a lot of men's fragrances, but on the other hand, I am also very flexible and give a fragrance some time to win me over....the first impression (or spray) doesn’t necessarily have to be the lasting or the right one. And tastes can change over time....
Now to the Aigner fragrance...it seems it doesn’t have many lovers here yet, as the comments are limited...at first, a lovely cloud of bergamot and freesia wafts into my nose, not quietly and gently, but rather with full force....I didn’t expect that....then a very distinct rose comes to my nose, also rather on the dominant side, but not unpleasant....the whole experience is accompanied by a very rounded, harmonious impression....warmth spontaneously overcomes me....I think of spring and early summer, flower meadows with vibrant bright colors...somehow very beautiful as a contrast to the dreary January weather outside....now the sweeter components also come to light, like patchouli and musk...unfortunately, I miss the cedar that I was looking forward to. Or wait a minute.....now, after about half an hour, a little cedar sneaks through the door, very gently and, in my opinion, unfortunately a bit too gently...I really love cedar!
The fragrance is also one that you can easily spray on your wrists again in the evening before going to sleep, just to take a whiff of it right before drifting off.

Etienne Aigner Femme

Etienne Aigner Pour Femme is a very long-lasting perfume, which is typical for some Aigner fragrances. Here, this fashion house has launched a successful perfume, in my opinion. In the opening, the first notes that emerge are the bitter citrus scent of bergamot and sweet mandarin, which blend after a few minutes with a sugared warm apricot that has a somewhat culinary quality. This note of warm sugared fruits runs throughout the entire fragrance development. The rose seems to have a bitter to slightly musty character here, which harmonizes very well with the warm sugared fruits :) In the base notes, intensely fragrant cedar, patchouli, and also bitter musk and sugared almond let their scent flow freely, and not sparingly. Additionally, a hint of vanilla aromas is also present! I couldn't detect any freesia here! For me, this is a fragrance with a delicious factor!
I can only recommend testing it, especially for lovers of culinary perfumes :)

Floral and Fruity - a Successful Fragrance

Aigner Pour Femme starts sweet, floral, and at the same time pleasantly peppery. After a while, I smell the mandarin, and gradually the apricot comes to the forefront, which for me forms the main character of the fragrance. The sweetness is never too much or unpleasant. Pour Femme is a wonderful warm scent with a beautiful scent development.

The fragrance starts off very strong with bergamot and mandarin; I also perceive a peppery note. Clearly noticeable are the apricot and the rose, which give the whole composition a certain "velvety" quality. Whether freesia can be detected is up for debate, but we won't go there! ;) Musk, cedar, and an amber-patchouli note round off this fragrance pleasantly in the base. With a bit of imagination, some fruity elements could also be present.
A lovely scent for summer!

Fresh, rosy, floral, and cleanly radiant. Reminds me of Chloe from 2009. Surprisingly appealing and elegant. Anyone who loves roses should give it a try.
