Illuminate in this darkness
The opening is dense, dark, with pine resin, which gives way to leathery and smoky burnt notes, which are combined over the next 10/15 minutes with the sweetness of the resins which begin quietly and become more and more present, but not oppressive (I seem to perceive labdanum or similar) and the dryness of the tobacco absolute.
The brute force of this attar is muted in the heart by the Sri Lankan oud with its mentholated tones, giving breath to the composition, which is followed by the metallic of violet leaves and the dusty of iris root; at times there also seems to be something reminiscent of cocoa.
Reaching the base phase one can distinctly perceive sandalwood and something earthy (Oakmoss IMO).
An excellent work, little to say
