Fresh and floral
I got this many years ago. I found it on a market in France on a table among loads of things such as toys, key hangers and kitchenware - lots of rubbish that nobody wanted. And there it was. Being in my infant years of my perfume journey, I found the bottle nice and bought it. When I came home I sprayed the scent and found it floral and relaxing. It landed on my shelf in the bathroom.
At some point through the years it was moved to the closet, exchanged with newer and more loud perfumes. Now, many years later and being on my “review tour”, going through all my boxes, I found it again.
Everafter for Women is a delicate, very subtle and definitely wearable scent. It starts out green, with notes of fresh cut leaves and a drop of something citric. When warmed up a floral vibe comes forward, rose and perhaps lily-of-the-valley. After an hour it turns leathery.
The perfume comes in a fine looking bottle, though a bit plastic-y which I am not fond of. You can see that this is not an expensive vessel, which in my opinion then demands something extra of the actual scent - which is not the case with this one.
It lasts for a few hours and is very close to the skin. I dare say this is not one of Avon’s most celebrated perfumes. Since there are so many to pick from I do not wear it and it is not part of my rotation. Nice but not needed.

Oldfashioned but very likeable
The review is for the cologne.
This starts out very overwhelming and a tiny bit synthetic; Aldehydes with capital A. It has a strong and old-fashioned feeling to begin with, but after ten-fifteen minutes it develops into a very wonderful, warm and rounded smell, with a complexity that makes it hard to dissect it into notes. Still I’m almost certain of jasmine and gardenia – and maybe lily-of-the-valley. It stays like that for the next 4-5 hours. The drydown is nothing to speak of, since it disappears without circumstances; only a tiny hint of something resinous and leathery.
The bottle, in my opinion, fits great in the hand. I really like it, square and facetted as it is. Unfortunately, mine is with a plastic stopper which kind of spoils the impression of something from a lady’s boudoir. But it looks great. I don’t know if it comes with a glass stopper but it certainly should.
