Orchard and cow pen

Dubai opens with ginger and bergamot, then reveals very sweet overripe fruit and slightly barnyardy Indian oud. This is the only one of Bortnikoff's ouds that actually smells animalic on my skin. The effect is like a neglected orchard with wasted fruit next to a cow pen. Eventually the oud settles down into a rich masculine woody scent. I think this is my first encounter with Indian oud. It's quite nice but not my favorite. I can say the same of Dubai. I wouldn't wear it myself but would enjoy smelling it on a man.
