I’m not sure

My experience with this perfume is that I can’t smell it on me @ all & when I remember to wear it I feel guilty about the price ( my husband gifted it to me cos he really likes his Rock Rose & Town & country), but without fail as soon as I go out with it strangers come up to me saying my perfume smells so good they just love it , what is it? (Every single time I’ve worn it as soon as I step into a store or building or appointment someone will say oh my goodness ur perfume is amazing ) To which I reply “ I don’t know if u will love it when u see the price ” I wish I could feel as excited about it as what others around me are, no matter how much I spray on skin & clothes I get a slight pretty peachy vibe for a bit but very faint

Unexpectedly often comes ..

It was once again one of those days when I was just strolling through the fragrance department at Lafayette.
Most of the scents that interested me I had already tested, but somehow none of them really blew me away.
Then I saw a small table in a corner with the sign "SALE" and thought to myself, well, let's see ...
And there it was, WOODY FLORAL!
Clive Christian was completely unknown to me before, and to be honest, I had no high expectations for this fragrance.
And then something happened that rarely occurs for me, namely that I thought WOW WHAT IS THIS!? with the first spray!

Extremely elegant, warm, sweet, and yet also fruity.
The cap of the bottle is a crown (of course, gilded) and I can tell you this scent is truly royal.
Not because it is loud, quite the opposite for me, rather intimate, but with a lot of depth, totally alluring and enveloping.
For me, the perfect blend of all the components.

Of course, I bought the fragrance and I have not regretted it for a second to this day, even though it is really expensive.

Clive Christian is really expensive stuff. I have tested many and somehow they all seem similar. None stand out from the crowd. But exceptions confirm the rules. Woody floral has something to it. I was very curious, as I could get it from a lovely perfumer. Thanks again for that.
The first spray reminds me of a blackberry bush laden with ripe fruits. This fruit disappears in no time. Then comes the rose, not velvety moist, but delicate like cellophane, dried and slightly brittle. Apparently the vintage rose? In between, a hint of jasmine. It doesn't match the colors. The scent progression is dark red to mahogany. The patchouli blends in completely: warm woody, enveloping. A bit of a mishmash with cedar. Could that be the vanilla I perceive after hours? Long-lasting elegant noble scent.

I don't really like the top note because of the berries/fruits. They remain in the background afterwards. Not bad, but not for me.

Jasmine yes, mandarin yes, the rest of the scent notes no. Definitely no patch. For me, it's a light floral-oriental, rather sweet and unremarkable.
