Fruit Cocktail!... or not?
At the beginning of the year, I wanted to treat myself to something new and cheekily sniffed around the drugstore. Nothing really caught my eye until I saw the little apple that stood out from the crowd with its cute packaging. I quickly sprayed the tester on a test strip, and it smelled soooo delicious! I immediately detected the apple and grapefruit, really juicy and tasty. Impressed, I sprayed the tester on my wrist and tossed the sweet thing into my basket.
On the way home, however, I started to notice a rather strange smell, and all the delicious fruits had vanished. I had been waiting for the raspberry, but nothing came. All that was left was a mix of floral notes, and especially the (for me, oh so hated) jasmine came to the forefront. Fragrances that contain jasmine are always somehow hit or miss, and this one is unfortunately a miss for me. It joins my collection of headache-inducing scents.
One good point, however, is that my grandma really liked it. She said it reminded her of spring fragrances and blooming apple trees. She also found the bottle so cute that I eventually gifted her the little thing.
I don't know why I always smell jasmine in every fragrance while others sniff out the most delicious stuff. Meh on that!
I still noticed the scent in the evening, and even though some might find the bottle childish, to me, it's just too sweet!
