Coconut nightmare
The fragrance starts with citronella and lavender, but after five minutes, all you are left with is extremely strong, artificial coconut of the worst kind. They (L'Oréal, who else?) call it a "JUNGLE FOUGERE" and try to make us believe they were clever enough to invent a new genre, when all they did was mixing some lemongrass with huge amounts of coconut. One of the worst scents of 2014. Doesn't wash off. Lasts for 48 hs. A coconut nightmare. Oh yes, you need to be brave in order to stomach this. Very brave.

First impression: Coco-notgoodenough
I was very interested because I like the fragrances from the Maisondieu's. It turns out there's nothing to be excited about: OtB Wild is just an unremarkable flanker. Sure, the perfumers mixed in some lemongrass, an interesting ingredient. But the end result is a summery coconut blend that isn't great and relatively weak. The coconut is a bit 'green', perhaps because of the lemongrass. This fragrance is not good enough. Let's see what else Diesel and the Maisondieu's come up with in the future.

Outdoor scent
It's nice, warm fig fragrance... I find it very similar with CH Sport by Carolina Herrera, although in both there is no fig notes.
Initial notes are peppery, then it's settle.
Outdoor, spring-autumn fragrance.

Wild Herbs
So now after J.P. Gaultier ("Le Male Terrible"), JOOP! is also jumping on the "wild" trend with "Only the Brave" ... actually quite logical considering the bad-boy image marketed by DIESEL. As I expected, this fragrance - like its two predecessors - receives rather little appreciation. But that shouldn't stop me from testing it myself and forming my own opinion; after all, I also liked the other two fists.

Unlike the Gaultier and the Joop, but somewhat reminiscent of the slightly older "Polo Explorer" by Ralph Lauren, "Only the Brave Wild" opens with a decent bouquet of wild herbs - distinctly reminiscent of herb butter in aroma. This gives it a certain earthiness that runs like a red thread through the fragrance. An oriental note follows, more influenced by coconut milk than vanilla, quite sweet, but not quite like in the original "Only the Brave," rather more spiced.

Overall, a very masculine scent that, despite its intensity, always radiates a certain lightness. I like it very much, but given the inflated introductory price, I will probably wait to purchase it until there is a more affordable 200 ml special edition available. It has, as expected, a slightly brash touch, but in a sympathetic way, because it is honest and naively adventurous.

Perhaps a small hint: Those who like "Background" by Jil Sander and "Brût" by Fabergé should also test this one without prejudice. It may not quite have their class, is less complex - but nonetheless, it is also a very wearable fragrance.

Chemical Fruit Tea in the Ugliest Bottle Ever
Admittedly: I don't like any of the Diesel perfumes and find especially the Zero Plus masculine, or whatever this scent is called in the white bottle, terrible. One of the worst scents I've ever received as a gift.
However, since I have liked and owned other products from the brand since the early 90s (clothing/jeans and sunglasses), I keep giving the fragrances from this brand a chance out of a kind of "brand loyalty."
But it simply doesn't help.
The bottle looks like someone cut off the hand of the Marvel comic hero Hulk. When you take the unwieldy hand in your own hand and spray, you immediately notice "aha, grapefruit." The rest of the fragrance pyramid is hard to detect. It's so synthetic that it could just as easily contain apple or some kind of berry, that was my first thought, but these are not mentioned by the perfumers. After an hour and a half, I can hardly smell anything but the woody base. Overall, the longevity is low.

What can I say?
I've often been annoyed that I've spent "relatively" a lot of money on fragrances from Kilian or Comme des Garçons. But when you see how well these fragrances are made and how much joy I've had from them, I find it outrageous that a scent like this from Diesel is even released on the market and then costs a whopping 75 euros for 75ml.

Spicy cucumbers in a Faust bottle! I can confirm that. With coconut in the dry down. You won't miss the attitude. Rightfully off the market.

I don't find the scent as bad as some here, but rather good. Very fruity and slightly sweet. Lasts all day too.

Unfortunately, a bad purchase. It started strong with the top note, but I was disappointed before the heart note. Would it have sold well without Diesel?
