This one grew on me; the final time I wore it was probably my best experience with it. Velvet Blue Musk leans quite feminine, but not necessarily because of the rose note. The musk is so soft and sensual, almost delicate in this fragrance.

The opening is what drew me in when spraying on strip. A really beautiful smooth cardamom that reminded me of Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum, but the drydown is quite a bit different. A rose/sandalwood/musk accord dominates, and it's extremely classy. Definitely goes for the oriental, similar to musk-based attars, so I can see the idea behind the original name. Might be a bit too "elegant" for me to pull off but I'm going to leave it in my maybe pile for now because it is an exquisite creation.

A picture comes to mind immediately, a Bedouin tent in bright, flattering colors, fabrics made of the finest silk, light golden velvet embroidered with real gold threads, small pearls moving in the night wind of the dunes, and an incomparably fine, powdery, seductive scent wafting in this tent - the beloved woman is engaged in her evening beauty rituals. She moves her little feet lightly over the thick, fluffy carpets, her clothing consisting of gossamer veils and the finest fabrics, crackling like the whisper of a waiting lover.... She smells of musk, a very clear and finely powdery musk, gentle sandalwood or rosewood, fine spices. I perceive cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla in a very delicate trace. Above all, the rose crowns it - but not piercingly, rather hidden and benevolently ready for reception. This scent is one of the most tender embraces I have ever experienced in a fragrance. It remains very close to the body, meant only for the beloved. Its longevity is very good at about 6-8 hours. I see it on a woman, but you never know... This perfume is oriental but in an enchantingly bright way never seen before, not a dark bomb that takes your breath away. Here, one always lets their nose wander in the direction of this beautiful scent composition - delightful. The price is around 285 euros, placing it in the upper segment. The bottle is midnight blue with a velvet cap, and it lies in this also deep midnight blue velvet box, waiting for its appearance for the night of love. What a gift to rekindle the heart of the beloved woman anew... By the way, it is said to only be available in boutiques and at Harrods.
