A refreshing fragrance but ...
WARNING: This fragrance is for personal enjoyment only.
Fragrance is a mixture of citrus such as Bergamot and Neroli, a bit like barbershop cologne.
Personal note: I’m a fan of the citrus scents and enjoying it in all seasons.
This is a fragrance of citrus made from the finest citrus fruits and packed in a very luxurious bottle and a very attractive package.
Unfortunately, the fragrance doesn’t last for a few minutes and then you can’t remember it.
I can say that it is parallel to the expensive specialty Niche Perfumes.
The only negative point here: the fragrance extremely weak, just lasts only for a few minutes, In addition to the rather high price compared to other designer fragrances is considered a losing deal for most of people.

Acqua Di Bergamotto
The opening of Acqua di Bergamotto is of course highlighted by the titular bergamot note. However, it doesn’t have that same sharp lime-intensity of another bergamot fragrance I’ve recently reviewed here, Bergamotto di Calabria.

This Zegna scent has a more subdued and floral/herbal layer to it. The cologne is clean with an aroma like fine lemon soap.

This cologne is very simple and straightforward in its presentation. It does also have a hint of an aquatic/oceanic note to it, sort of a sea salt, but it’s not all that noticeable.

What you are going to get, is that upbeat and quite pleasant bergamot smell with some floral undertones. The start is fresh with a bit of sweetness, then, it becomes soapy floral with some aquatics aspects. Sort of like the style of Cool Water, not the same smell, but that structure.

Acqua di Bergamotto isn’t all that complex and the development is quite subtle. Sometimes, you might not even notice the changes.

If only last longer
The longevity of this one is a joke, some of my deos last longer. The scent, however, is not bad. Typical refresher, great after-shower. Mainly mix of citruses, bergamot, and lemon. Great for summer but more in the terms, like more intensive shower gel.

The Core of the Cube
Based on the descriptions here, I imagined Acqua di Bergamotto to be much worse or more trivial. At least in terms of scent, I am quite positively surprised. To find that out, I had to take my time.

Yesterday, on another wonderfully sunny yet extremely cool spring morning, I sprayed it on and was able to enjoy it more or less until lunch. What I particularly liked is not only this bergamot-fresh opening, which most fresh fragrances manage to achieve, but also the gradually emerging spicy-soapy core.

Thanks to rosemary, one can only say, because this absolutely subtle herbal-bitter note gave Acqua di Bergamotto the refined touch that made me feel good. Towards the end, a little vetiver peeked out in a gentle version from its hiding place.

Yes, this scent could go excellently with a suit made of fine fabric, but just as well with casual clothes.
No, there was no boredom, even though I am quite skeptical about such fresh scents. This one can really be worn excellently in the office without drawing direct attention or causing a stir, while still making an olfactory statement.

However, there is also a downside to the coin, or rather two shadows of the cube, because for the price, it could certainly show more radiance. Those who can arrange themselves not to necessarily mark a large office and/or let the penny-pincher out could have a lot of fun with this well-crafted bergamot water.

Showers for Wimps
A typical Duty Free and vacation freshie - off to the south, chasing the sun...

Unfortunately also quite boring. Well made, no question, high quality and purposeful, there are weaker bergamots and scents for the trip to Italy, Greece, or Turkey. A sparkling and cool shower, perhaps like in a shampoo commercial featuring a sun-drenched waterfall. I can't say much bad about it. However, I have to pull good things out of thin air as well. The perfect statement scent - every person who has it under their nose knows immediately why. Putting together a comment here is difficult. After all, it's significantly cheaper than Zegna's premium line. But still not a cheapie...

Bottle: angular and fine, but not quite as high-quality as the Essence line.
Longevity: a meager 3-4 hours - some people shower longer...
Sillage: no one calls me, no one cares about me.

Conclusion: a solidly made, but ultimately inconsequential bergamot refresher that brings as much new to the table as a croquer two months before retirement. You can do it, but you don't have to. Sunny and meaningful, arbitrary and banal.

Not bold enough for the club scene. You could wear it to work or something else along those lines, as it’s not going to blow out a room.

Currently my favourite bergamot - natural, juicy and under-rated. Warm weather scent. Lasts only a few hours, but a pleasure while it does.

A fragrance for the personal enjoyment for lovers of Bergamot, Citruses and Neroli ... Do not expect more than that.

Skinscent, which smells like slightly spicy, somewhat sharp soap. First, great bergamot, then soapy-waxy neroli with soft ozone.

fresh, almost cool, excellent. It's probably the combination of vetiver and rosemary that sets the scent apart from the citrus monotony.

Very refreshing. Starts citrusy, minimal Neroli, not sweet, then slightly spicy and bitter. Elegant.

Gentle breeze of quite authentic bergamot. Breathe in deeply and enjoy briefly, or it's gone ;)
