Indonesian Oud... a more versatile The Night?

Think about a toned down version of The Night. To my nose, Indonesian Oud really resembles The Night, which is a wonderful fragrance, but a bit challenging to wear. That's not the case here, Indonesian Oud is a much more versatile oud-rose fragrance. The oud in IO is different from those you find in The Night. In Zegna's creation the oud is tamed, not barnyard, not skanky, nor fecal. You don't need to wait it settle down before going out. Also, the rose here has been toned down, it's not too sweet, nor feminine, it's a masculine rose. Oud here is dominant, although you can smell the rose, amber and patchouly, everything beautifully blended. It's strong perfume but not cloying. I wouldn't say it's not an office safe scent, but if you are a boss, I think you'll go well with this, specially if buried under a suit. Yes, I think it can be worn during the day, although for most of the people, this is more suitable as a night scent. Overall, this smells very nice, very sophisticated, you can fell the quality of ingredients used in here. Indonesian Oud smells better than some niche fragrances out there. But, despite being a high quality fragrance, it lacks the power and personality of The Night. At the end of the day IO is another oud-rose combo fragrance, but beautifully crafted I have to say. Performance is above average with very good projection and sillage. Longevity is at least 10 hours but it can be more on some skin types. In conclusion: Indonesian Oud is a long-lasting elegant, dark oudy-rose masculine fragrance. Not a blockbuster, but for oud-rose lovers is a must.

The name says it all. This is a very beautiful rose-oud scent.
The overall impression is a balanced, dark fragrance. Primarily, you get the oud with a good pinch of red rose. The composition puts the oud in the foreground. Very beautifully done. It lasts a long time. It is quite a strong scent, but not heavy.
Bergamot only plays a minor role and supports the opening.
The powerful Indonesian agarwood immediately comes to the forefront.
The animalic note of the agarwood is noticeable, but not intrusive.
The fragrance brings a slight freshness with it.
In summary: strong, dark, woody, not too sweet.
Slightly fresh. Beautiful.
It lasts a long time and remains strong. Over time, it transitions into a warm and softer tone.
The longevity of the fragrance is about 10 hours.
A sample is recommended.
Also suitable for beginners with oud fragrances.

Fruity raspberry with strong oud and other woody smoky notes best describe the scent

One of the best perfume clouds

Very strong oud and patchouli scent. Optimal longevity and sillage, exactly what you want for such a price.

The fragrance starts with a very strong patchouli that calms down over time and reveals the oud more and more. The rose notes were only present in the top notes for me and I rarely felt and smelled them over time.

I didn't know how strong it would be the first time I wore it and I sprayed too much. Unfortunately, I had a blind nose, but my wife could still smell it on me, which was a good sign.

I have tried the fragrance so far at 10°C and at 18°C, it smelled different at both temperatures and the notes developed differently.
Not a safe blind buy
But for me, already a win
