Art at its finest

Beware, this has a very challenging, sweaty-latexy openning that a friend of mine said smells a lot like female genitalia . But once you let it settle, about 10 minutes in you are met with this beautiful smell of musky-zingy grapefruit and over-ripe watermelon. It's also backed but some florals and honeslty for the rest of the wear is quite wearable and somewhat "massappealing"

A perfume not for the skin, but for the imagination

As with many other fragrances, the naming, the bottle, and the story behind the perfume influence the perception. When I first smelled Cyber Sex in Barcelona, I was immediately fascinated by how one could encapsulate the scent of a mattress that had hosted more than just two people indulging all night into a fragrance. My imagination kicked in after just a second. In this regard, the scent is very well crafted. On the smelling funnel, the fragrance comes across as quite sweaty, synthetic, and yet with a certain freshness. The scent also has a hint of stale air, like in a room that hasn't been aired out for a long time, making it unpleasant to breathe in. Among the X SÉ series, I find it the most intriguing fragrance, which has stayed in my memory long after my vacation. However, it was not a candidate for purchase back then. When I discovered a decant in the souk, I had to order it immediately. I simply wanted to own the fragrance to occasionally take a whiff. I find it fascinating what effects perfumes can have. Freshly sprayed, Cyber Sex starts off distinctly fresher, and the sweat notes only emerge after about 30 minutes. When I conducted a small survey among my colleagues about the scent (without mentioning the name of the perfume), the feedback ranged from "smells nice and fresh" to "Zara polyester T-shirt after a night of dancing." One person, however, hit the nail on the head. The scent reminded this person of a sex club in Paris, where the audience was indulging in every conceivable corner. Depending on one's experiences, the fragrance, like many others, will evoke corresponding memories. Anyone who can be excited about scents in this direction should at least have a sniff of it.

Not only fashion, food, or fragrances, but also individual sexual preferences are, so to speak, a matter of taste. Does it make sense to argue about it? No!

My grandmother, a wise and above all open-minded woman, used to say: "Those who have a fulfilling sex life have no interest in the sex lives of others." And I believe she was right.

The majority of society seems to think differently. Here, as with so much else, people often take their own behavior as a blueprint for others and try to impose it on them. And when that doesn’t work, they either speak negatively about those individuals, make fun of them, or in the worst case, bully, threaten, or even actively mistreat them.

On the other hand, sex is often used as a stylistic device to sell various products. Again, personal taste often decides whether one likes the product or whether it is too much of a good thing.

Filippo Sorcinelli has chosen the theme of sex for his new fragrance series, and as the names of the scents suggest, this is not about the often romanticized floral cuddling or flirting with gender stereotypes. No, it is meant to be more wicked, dirtier, and perhaps even forbidden in scent. Whether this has been successful is something everyone must find out for themselves.

Of the four tested olfactory sex bombs, I find Cyber Sex the most striking.

Although I find the scent rather unbearable for myself, it does have a certain fascination for me.

For a long time, a not-so-fresh sweat note dominates the scent. According to the pyramid, cumin was not used, so I wonder which combination of ingredients causes this mega-sweat that has passed its expiration date.

Quite quickly, a floral sweet perfume note comes into play, which reminds me of Angel by Mugler. When smelling directly on the sprayed skin, I also perceive an impression of burnt plastic.
Only much later does the sweat smell gradually diminish, leaving a subtle creamy sweetness.

The longevity is decent, as even after several hand washes, the little scent still cheerfully lingered. The sillage is moderate, in my opinion, and more would be counterproductive.

As I write these lines, I spontaneously think of the film Polyester by John Waters, and the image of the sweating, disheveled Divine in synthetic glitter attire somehow perfectly matches the scent impression. For the first screenings of this film, there were scratch-and-sniff cards, and certain scenes were accompanied by the corresponding scents.

All in all, I must say that I found some scents with real oud to be much worse and more borderline than any of the four fragrances in the X SE' series.
Somehow, I feel about these scents like I do with similar creations from Etat Libre D'Orange. The name is more scandalous than the respective perfumes.

I am very curious to see what terrible things other testers will perceive. :)
