A really great release from Dsquared. The brand's fragrances are relatively low-budget compared to their fashion line and have a consistently good quality as they are marketed by EuroItalia, which also distributes Versace and Moschino fragrances. Icon pour Homme doesn't fare as well here. I can't say much about it yet as I have only tested this women's version so far. This one leans towards mainstream, but in a very pleasant direction. The white color of the bottle fits quite well with the scent, but it also has a sweeter and more playful twist. In terms of price, this is absolutely fair and offers quite a few wearing options. A really great blend of cleanliness and sensual sweetness. The scent is quite modern and impresses with a great overall package. You can get the 100ml for under €50, also available in 30 and 50ml.
The box and bottle are rather simple and unobtrusive. This time it's the Icon line, which is a well-known fashion line of this brand and is also worn a lot by younger people. Of course, not always the original, as it is not quite as affordable.
This Icon pour Femme is a thoroughly pleasant scent that has picked up elements from many styles: clean musk, sweetness, fruit, light and fresh flowers, and of course a lot of fresh wood (especially sandalwood). As mentioned, the white color fits very well with this scent with its clean musk, and the sandalwood also impresses throughout with this wonderful woody-creamy blend. At the start, wonderful fruity-fresh notes come through, especially mandarin. It radiates a lightness and is also slightly creamy, which is naturally enhanced by the creamy musk. Blackcurrant is also subtly noticeable in this wonderful top note. Following this, the heart note features a lovely floral note with jasmine. Not cloying, but uncomplicated and also suitable for summer with this refined note. Additionally, there is a seductive praline note that exudes a wonderful sweetness that is neither overwhelming nor too heavy. The base of musk, sandalwood, and vanilla is also very present for a long time and sets in right after the start. The scent becomes extremely soft after the second hour and is simply a great choice for everyday wear. Except in extreme heat, this can be worn at any time. The musk-sandalwood base is the main character of this fragrance and is perfect for fans of clean scents. The sweetness is also well-balanced and does not ruin this lovely clean and relatively fresh DNA. I particularly enjoy the creamy notes, which impress me. Overall, a wonderful harmonious picture that I can recommend to women.
Performance is a good average and particularly impresses in everyday situations with a solid sillage and a longevity of between 6-8 hours. You can be generous with the dosage as this DNA is very pleasant and hard to overspray.
Overall, a great white scent with wonderful sweet highlights, and the creamy notes come through beautifully with the musk & sandalwood. Definitely worth a try.
