Illuminating hour(s)
L'Heure Blanche is actually the olfactory translation of white - not only does the name say that, but the fragrance also internalizes the milky clear scent.
Whoever sprays himself with it, will play with the idea of dressing in white to match and going among the people ... ideally in spring or summer - it's practically made for that. Any other colour would somehow not be entirely consistent.
Strictly speaking, it should be called "L'Heures Blanche", because the pleasantly bright time spent with it is certainly well over an hour. The shelf life even easily reaches half a day, whereby one has to admit that the radiance is relatively manageable.
After all, this gives you an eau de parfum that refreshes in a powdery and flowery way from the first second on, maybe with a few splashes of bergamot or neroli, but very soft and cool. If you read Milk, then you believe in milk - at least with a marginally sweetened shot. And somehow the association with sun milk also comes up, at least the fragrance embodies a bit of a creamy and clean holiday feeling.
It's a pity that "Die weiße Stunde" is limited in quantity, but there is at least a little consolation. Although the pyramid is something completely different, the creation reminds me strongly of Ultraviolet Man by Prada, although there is also a ladies' version of it, which I personally don't know. In any case, Ultraviolet Man also goes in the direction of a very powdery fresh revelation, but more synthetic and less with that sunscreen nuance.
Guerlain has conjured up an appealing concept here, which has been consistently implemented and is actually working. And because the whole thing goes hand in hand with their natural quality, I'll give you a generous 8.5 points. The colour makes patronising and an absolutely clear conscience ... i know.
