Perfect Peach

This opens as a delicious, mouth-watering peach. A burst of ripe, fresh, peach. Now you might be wondering what's happening with this fragrance that has resulted in so many negative reviews all over the place. The answer is two words: Black Currant.

The black currant or cassis note is not often familiar to North Americans, especially US Americans. But that is what people are smelling in this, and if you have no reference point for it, you might not appreciate it. It has often shown up in Lush products, because they're based in the UK, and perhaps you've tried Ribena, the black currant syrup, or cassis, the black currant liqueur. If you familiarize yourself with this scent, you might actually come to perceive it in a diﬀerent way. This doesn't smell like "cat pee" at all, it smells like a photorealistic black currant, a scent some people just haven't learned yet.

Once you read the currant note, you can appreciate how it works with the rest of the composition to create the vibrant tangy peach. One of my absolute favourites from Heretic. Give it a chance.

That's him!

Dirty Peach starts off really fruity, as if you were burying your face in a bag of peach rings. However, a different note is already waiting at the bottom of the bag.

The fruits merge to form a sweet alliance, I don't notice citrus explicitly, but I do recognize strawberry. It is already transparent, but I still have hints of a slight creaminess all the time, which I don't want at all here. I almost wanted a coconut note to flutter in, but I think it's jasmine and ylang that are leading me around by the nose here. I also have this phantom coconut note in Chloe Nomade Naturelle.
Fortunately, it disappears soon enough.

I understand that it was described elsewhere as a dirty peach and the keyword "street" was used. There is definitely a slightly dusty note. Perhaps a bit like picking a peach straight from the tree. And as you hold it in your hand and look at it, you can suddenly smell the skin, which has been warmed by the sun. Here and there, a bit of dirt and a few particles still cling to the skin, left there by the weather.
After 10-20 minutes, this density subsides somewhat and now something wonderful happens: no ugly grimace appears after the top note. It remains a slightly transparent peach, with moderate sweetness and a really minimal spicy base. I don't know what vetiver smells like on its own, but I have the feeling that it provides the grounding in the base.
After 40 minutes, we find ourselves in a subtle peach-strawberry cloud with that certain something.
No shampoo, no soap. No run-of-the-mill perfume department fragrance with that certain taste. No cheap wood base, no pungent chemicals, no disruptive notes. This is the most beautiful fruit scent I've ever come across.
