A zingy, balanced green.

The first hit is bright green with the sweetness of fresh grass and vegetal facets of deep, resinous galbanum. The violet leaf, vetiver and coriander give nice dryness to the composition. Thankfully, I don’t get the weed scent, but the resinous galbanum could lend an impression terpenes of weed to someone else. The citrus is well handled and doesn’t announce itself boldly

The dry down leans masculine but is completely unisex. Dirty Grass is both unique with a familiar vetiver dry down classic in cologne, but softer and complex.

Like all green freshies, the longevity is fleeting, which is also typical of Heretic scents. Still, I cherish my little bottle.

Exactly as Named

I was hoping this would bring up memories of classic but now unattainable grass fragrances like the original version of Gap's Grass. It doesn't. It's vegetal for sure, but more like you've been trimming potted plants, pulling weeds, clipping stems, and crushing them, and you get that kind of green plant-like scent with a bit of older lawn mulch. Not a fresh cut lawn scent at all, but it doesn't claim to be. Dirty Grass smells exactly as it is named.

Freshly picked sorrel

The opening smells ~exactly~ like freshly picked sorrel :D my grandma used to grow it in her garden, so I know the smell very well. It's fun. Dries down to more of a freshly moved grass, which is also alright. I am a hater of vetiver, but surprisingly, I am ok with this scent. Not sure why it's called "dirty" grass, it's actually a pretty clean grass...

Nice, but too vegetal

I tend to like very green scents (Commodity Book, Diptyque Philosykos), but this one was too vegetal for me. It was more like celery than freshly cut grass, I would say the coriander and hemp notes are the strongest here. It was fairly linear, and had moderate projection and longevity, so if you're looking for this kind of scent it might be great for you!

The crowning of my previously very good perfumes

I ordered 15 ml and received it today.
At the first sniff, my senses were completely captivated. I have never encountered something so extraordinary, multifaceted, and subtly individual before.
I have several niche perfumes. It all started with Memoir by Amouage. I was completely thrilled. Then I bought the set and also got Interlude.
I enjoyed it throughout an entire winter, but over time it simply became too Arabic for me, meaning too heavy. It almost overwhelms me. Not that it’s bad, but there are few moments for me when I can wear it.
In between, several beautiful scents came along, including one directly from Grasse, namely "Thé Basilique" and Sel Marin.

I saw Dirty Grass in an advertisement, immediately checked the comments on Parfumo, and became curious.
I must admit, the photo in the ad also captivated me. Instantly, my imagination kicked in, and I thought, I need this scent. However, the price shocked me quite a bit... I thought Amouage was expensive. Still, I ordered it blindly.
Now it stands as the crowning jewel among the other pearls.
But now finally to the scent itself.
I can immediately perceive grass at first moment. Brilliant. A complete contrast to my previous ones.
Along with the grass comes something ethereal, yet bright, resinous and shifting. The interplay with almost equally present but always restrained nuances and something unknown makes it so irresistible. Mysterious and yet transparent. Still, it has an erotic depth that is hard to describe. It possesses me, makes me addicted.
On the skin, it loses the wonderfully grassy scent over time, and the other nuances gain significance. Nevertheless, for me, it’s a brilliant work of art.
I have not regretted for a second having purchased it.
