Slightly animal savagery and flying chips
Bonsoir, everybody! Um... that's French for good evening, just in case you didn't know it :D Anyway, today we have a Keiko Mecheri fragrance, the Cuir Fauve from the Les Merveilles series. Soo... first of all, I think the translation of the scent name sounds a bit stupid: "The Wonders - Deer Brown Leather",... well, fine. There are worse things. You could be DonJuanDeCat or something...
Be that as it may. So the scent belongs to the somewhat more expensive scent series of Mecheri, namely the Les Merveilles, of which I had never tried one before. And to be honest, I ignored the Mecheri fragrances for a long time, no idea why. Maybe this is because I once asked a girl who liked Keiko Mecheri scents if she wanted to go out with me and she threw chips at me..., argh! :DD
Kind of lucky she hadn't dipped the fries in ketchup or mayo beforehand!! And no, it wasn't as kids or anything... but as students in the cafeteria!!!... :DD
Anyway, that was a long time ago (but as you can see, I've never really had a real lucky hand with girls :D) and I found a sample of this fragrance in my sample box. It would be a pity to let this go to waste, especially since there are only a few drops left and the scent was about to evaporate for good! Well then, here then as always my opinion about the scent.
In the heart note it still smells as it started, but now the fragrance also smells warmer and more balsamic. The middle section of the fragrance also seems to be a little more animal, even though it doesn't seem to have a really animal note.
A little later, the spicy and earthy notes weaken a little, making the fragrance appear sweeter and more supple. The sweetness now comes mainly from the amber, which means that you can smell this wonderful, whale-choked (hey hey, sounds disgusting, doesn't it?) sweetness.
Towards the base the fragrance is quite warm and gentle, even powdery and soft. The amber gradually fades away and is replaced by vanilla. The animal-like scents are also almost gone, but the leather comes through better again. Sweet, leathery and still slightly spicy, the scent then gradually fades away, at least after a long time. A beautiful scent!
The silage and the durability:*
The sillage is good, so you can smell the scent for a good while, not only from close up. Also the shelf life is quite good with its over eight hours of persistence.
As I said, the scent is very successful. Because it not only smells nice and pleasant, you also smell many different scents, so that the fragrance is not exactly simple. Additionally, the scents smell quite authentic or at least not synthetic, which is anyway always a nice characteristic of a scent.
The fragrance is an autumn-wintery scent, which is good to use in your free time, but is best used in the evening or for going out. No matter if you want to have a nice dinner, another social event or just celebrate, I think the fragrance is well received in all situations. And although it seems to have a little bit of floral notes, I think it suits both sexes equally well.
For those who don't like animal notes, there is no need to worry, as I now find that these fragrances are neither too intense nor long-lasting. Most of the time (i.e. in the base) it smells warm, sweetish and soft and therefore simply pleasant. A test is highly recommended.
And I'm done with that again. Whew, we made it! I was kind of hungry, though... should I eat fries?... aaaargh :DD
Well, you all have a nice evening and see you later :)
